A harem is a harem and Canvas 2 is definitely a harem.
Story: The story takes the route that every harem takes. One boy in a sea of girls who may or may not be interested in them. In this case, he or hs sister help them to accomplish their dreams through their high ranking academic school. Each girl has a different talent and a reason for why they're held back from reaching their tre potential. As do the two heroines of this story.
Art: I found the art well below average from what I usually watch. It's nowhere near intolerable to watch (little blabs), but I
...
would expect an anime that's main premise is revolved around art to have an above average animation quality. The character designs are decent and once again not worth talking about.
Sound: The opening and ending themes go great with the series. They both reminded me of art and love. The voice actors were average at best. When lack of emotion was needed, they did a great job, but when it came time for the characters to get teary-eyed, it just sounded to flat to matter.
Character: This series is all about character development and reaching for one's dreams so the characters play a huge role. To be frank, the characters we pretty dull. They had petty problems and dumb reasons for not giving it everything they got. The solutions to their problems seemed a bit forced as well. When it came time to pull at the viewer's heart strings, the characters fell short.
Enjoyment: The best thing about this series was the animation and that was a bit lacking. It didn't make me laugh, it didn't make me cry, it didn't make me care. It was so utterly predictable that I couldn't help but yawn during every episode. The romance was boring and highly unlikely. It was just going around in circles the whole time!
Overall, I don't really think this series is worth the time. There are much better harems out there and plenty of series that follow the same "reach for your dreams" theme to even bother with this one.

This anime just as the beginnng sequence says it is. It's about what happens in three ordinary sister's everyday lives. Don't expect too much.
Story: There isn't really much of a plot to this. It's about three sister that have very different personalities and what they go through in school, at home, with guys, things of that nature. It's the very definition of slice of life. You really shouldn't go into this anme expecting anything more than comedy. There's not much in the terms of drama, romance, or anything of that sort.
Art: The animation quality is by far not top notch. I mean, its not utterly
...
unbearable. The character designs match perfectly with their personality. The problem is that there's not enough detail in the backgrounds, but since it's just an anime for laughs, it doesn't really matter too much.
Sound: The opening and ending fit perfectly with the series. Very catchy and leading into what you are about to watch. The voices sound exatly like their personalities show it should. Kana's voice is very sarcastic and naive when it comes to tricks. Chiaka's voice is dead-panned just like the comments are suppose to be. And Haruka has the very sweet caring voice.
Character: The characters were quite unique. The sisters are all drastically different from one another, but so are the rest of the characters. Watching them interact is priceless. There's sweet ones, mean ones, brainless ones, perverted ones, love struck ones. They're all different, but they're all strange.
Enjoyment: I've never seen an anime like this. I thought a few of the scenes were just pointless, but they were suppose to be because it's jst s pointless its funny, but to me it's not. It's one of the best comedies I've seen. It's entertaining to watch how some simple misunderstandings turn into such outrageous things.
Overall, I think that if you enjoy comedy anime or anime with no real story to tell, you'll probably like this one.

Final Approach is about a young high school boy who is suddenly picked to be the arranged fiancee of Shizuka. Due to the recent low birth rates, a system picked the two at random to be the perfect match for each other, however, Ryo disagrees.
Story: The story is pretty common in the sense that it's yet another anime about an arranged marriage. There isn't really much of a twist to the overly used storyline either. The girl is all excited about being engaged to the boy and the boy just wants nothing to do with her. A slight twist would be the government's involveent I
...
suppose.
Art: While the background art was sometimes lacking at certain points, it was still overall fairly decent animation. The character designs are great though, it's just the things that surround them.
Sound: The opening and ending fit well with the rest of the series. The voice actors did a good job. Shizuka's truly shine because you could tell her deep deviotion to Ryo through her voice. With Ryo's you could really hear hw mixed his emotions were about Shizuka.
Character: The characters were pretty bland and nothing new. Ryo at times would really get on my nerves because in one scene he'd make a major character develope and in the next, he'd just go back to the way he was. Shizuka was typical in wanting to be with Ryo, regardless of the cost. And of course, there is the doting sister, Akane who feels she is faing from hr brother's life.
Enjoyment: I'm not sure if I should say this anime was a complete waste of time because in some parts it was enjoyable and it was only 12 minutes per episode for 13 episodes, but most of the time while watching it felt more like a chore than enjoyment. The plot just seems to go nowhere at times and many of the things in each episode are pointless.
Overall, I'd say that if you like cliche over-done anime that is severly lacking in the comedy, romance, and drama part than this is perfect for you.

Clannad revolves around a high schooler, Tomoya, who after befriending a young girl named Nagisa, makes new friends. Tomoya quickly discovers that there's more to these young girls than meets the eye and tries to help them with their problems while dealing with his own.
Story: What more is there to say about the story other than it's great? The word clannad means family. There are five girls, each with their own story to tell that somehow involves family. Although there are many comparsions to Kanon, they remain different because Kanon's overall story was about miracles, while Clannad is about the bond of family.
Art: As expected

of Kyoto Animation, the animation quality is superb. I don't think there's a single negative comment I can make about it. The character designs are great. The way the characters look and act line up perfectly with each other. The background isn't lacking of detail either.
Sound: The opening and ending songs fit well with the story. The opening shows the dramatic side and the ending shows the light-hearted side. Nagisa's voice is portayed very well. Her insecurities an naviety are very evident. Tomoya's funny antics shine brightly through his voice. The music played during comedic scenes and the music played for emotional scenes fit perfectly.
Character: Each character is very unique and different from each other. There's the strong-willed loud mouths and the insecure shy types and not to mention the two delinquents that provide the much needed comedic relief. They all have separate yet equally srong stories to tell.
Enjoyment: I definitely enjoyed this series. It has every aspect an interesting story needs: drama, comedy, and romance. The comedy scenes sit well with the series because they keep the story from being too emotional. The romance is also nice. Nagisa and Tomoya have such a cute relationship. It's interesting to watch their two different characters interact.
Overall I think this is a series that should not be missed. Regardless of what intrigues you, you're sure to find something you enjoy about this series.

ef- a Tale of Memories is by far one of my favorite animes. It is beautiful in just about every aspect. It's everything I could ever ask for from an anime series.
Story: The story revolves around two different love stories, connected only by two of the characters being twins. There's the story of unspoken childhood love that turns into a love triangle. Then, there's the story of a boy making a new friend only to find out that she has a memory defect that allows her only to remember the last 13 hours. I found the first story to be very cliche and at times
...
quite boring. But it did have a few aspects that made it unique and enjoyable. The second story was my favorite because it was so original, beautiful and quite emotional.
Art: The animation in ef is beatiful beyond words. The character designs are perfect and detailed very precisely. Not a single in this anime is lacking any detail. It also does a good job of portraying the emotion the characters are feeling through many different aspects.
Sound: The voice actors did a fantastic job when it came to the emotional scenes. They did such a wonderful job, I was nearly in tears throughout most of the series. The opening fits the series so perfectly. For the first time, I actually watched the opening all the way through.
Character: The characters are very three-dimenstional and unique. They each develope at a nicepace throughout the series. I found them to be all unique and very ejoyable, although sometimes I just wanted to knock their face in. But that's all a part of bein a good character.
Enjoyment: I definitely enjoyed this anime. Each week I waited on pins and needles for the next episode to air. While I found Kei's story to be pretty enjoyable, Chihiro's was definitely my favorite and sadness story. She had to face the same hardships and deal with her illness.
Overall, I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys romance and anime and can appreciate beautiful animation and wonderful storyline.

Prior to Death Note I stuck to watching anime that had some form of romance in it, but when I saw how great the animation in Death Note was I jut had to check it out. It completely changed the way I felt about supernatural/psychologial anime. It made me realize how enjoyabl other genres could be.
Story: Death Note has such a great and unique story to it. With the arrival of a death note that came from the Shinigami. The person with the death note can kill anyone just by writting down their name in an otherwise seemingly normal notebook. It falls into the hands
...
of Light who plans to kill off all te criminals in the world and anyone who tries to get in his way.
Art: The animation in this series is superb. The character designs are flawless. The Shinigami's look creepy and it's nice to see how differently each one looks. Light's character looks like any ordinary teenage boy. He doesn't look like the type that would kill by any means. Bringing to mind that the worst people in society are the ones that blend in perfectly.
Sound: There were plenty of dramatic scenes in this anime and the voice actors managed to pull each one off. Light's voice actor did great job. He could sound dark and evil in one sentence and normal and innocent the next. Both ending and openings go swell with the theme of the show.
Character: The characters just like the rest of the show are unique in their own right. Light's character is the supreme anti-hero, but he's written so well that regardless of what's happening you're compared to cheer for him because athough he's evil, he's an evil genius. Even the unimportant characters are well written and develope nicely throughout the show.
Enjoyment: VERY enjoyable. At the end of each episode, I desperately anticapated the next. The pyschological aspect of the show draws you in and refuses to let you go until the ongoing war has reached it's ending mark.
Overall, I would recommend this to most people. The pyschological points in the series can be quite complicated at times so it's probably best to watch it when you're at your best at using your brain.

I don't usually watch horror anime. This was the first one I tried and it was very enjoyable. It had it's fair share of violence and gore, but it also had an undeniable creepiness to the story. The anticipation of the horror to come was creepy enough and when it actually arrived it made my heart nearly beat out of my chest. After the first few episodes I was definitely roped in and couldn't wait to watch the next.
The Story: The story mainly focuses on the mysterious deaths that always seem to occur during the time of Watanagashi Festival. There are three question arcs and
...
three answer arcs. Each question arc has a different murderer and victim. The Watanagashi Festival and the dam construction project are the only consistancies between them, along with the main characters.
Art: I've avoided watching this series for a long time because I'm picky when it comes to animation and this one certainly lacks detail. The background has barely any detail and the character designs are okay at best. But in a series like this, the art isn't of much importance, plenty of blood though.
Sound: The voice acting was amazing in Higurashi. There are many times when the creepiness is all in the hands of the voice actors and they did a fine job. At times, their voices would make me jump out of my skin with terror and at other times, their sweet innocent voices would make me believe whatever they had to say. The opening and ending songs had just enough creepiness to be perfect for this show.
Character: The characters were very original and cute. They were so well rounded it was easy to believe the character was adorable even after they murdered someone in the previous arc. Each character developes beautifully throughout the series and it's interesting to see the different ways they interact with each other going from arc to arc.
Enjoyment: Much to my surprise I really enjoyed Higurashi. The way it's broken down into arcs with different scenarios made it nearly impossible for me to hold off watching the next episode. Although, with all the build up to the end of an arc, it makes you want more, only to have to start off at the beginning of the next arc. Which made the first few episodes of the new arc a bit boring.
Overall I say that this is definitely anime that most should check out, even if you're not much into horror.
