13/13 but 'Dropped' -- that's the most expressive way to show my regard towards this season

a lot of people - including myself - had some expectations towards the show. like, the 1st season started pretty good and was rather ok throughout; I wasn't too hyped about season 2 but I expected something somewhat above mid at least. but this -- this just took a reckless plunge into the depths of below-mediocrity -- like the production pissed all over my (rather humble!) expectations

the turtle arc (wasn't it actually a tortoise?) was just omega-boring. the monstrous turtle came out of nowhere and suddenly tried to weave its ...

Keijo!!!!!!!! (Anime) add
I watched it strictly for the plot. I swear. Well maybe for a little bit of culture too...

In my opinion this show is very underscored. From one point of view it's kind of understandable but on the other hand it's kind of undeserved. To be fair, because of the premise it's hard for this anime to be taken seriously. The show is about some kind of butt-sumo for females and it's quite easy to disregard it as a half-comedy half-ecchi material.

Still, I consider this to be another sports anime with comedy\ecchi elements. If you look past the butt-sumo part it's almost just as good ...

Basically, Arifureta is a dirty-cheap version of 'Shield Hero'. while I was able to enjoy the show any praise most probably in actuality belongs to the source material. It's nothing new to have a promotion type anime. But this one is of rather low quality.

It feels fresh in some ways. While the plot is nothing new I would say some of the character choices actualy break the expectations in a rather good way.

On the other hand the art is horrendous. Those 3D monsters were so bad it was actualy disgusting to look at. The sound was also quite bland and generic.

Overall the anime ...

Preliminary (7/25 eps)
This season feels like a very bad filler-arc.

There is just so little of the actual content. Instead we have:
- lengthy introductions of already well known characters
- in depth explanations of new quirk tricks (that make no sense anyways)
- repeated occurences of overused flashbacks (sometimes multiple times in the same episode)
- meaningless overexaggerrated reactions of the characters towards trivial stuff

8 episodes in the season already and we basically moved nowhere. Like 3 mock team battles occured. And those even weren't that interesting. Comparing to previous seasons this just has almost to no substance.

I have no idea what kind of half-assed approach the studio is taking ...

I kind of loved this show. Even rewatched it several times. While it has some flaws (like bad-cgi monsters) overall for me personally this was a huge enjoyment.

The story is nice, the characters are likable, the music is pog. IMO it has everything average good anime is supposed to have. But for some reason the show just didn't receive the love it deserved… Objectively it probably isn't a 'masterpiece' but still a 'pretty good' show.

It makes me very sad that there is no hope for season 2 and on. Almost to the point I wish I never actually watched it…

I started reading the novels. ...

There is no point in watching this without season 2. This is just half of the story and honestly not the better half. A lot of things appear strange and out of nowhere so it's no wonder people underscored the show into oblivion.

On the other hand, full story is some pretty good stuff. A nice bitter-sweet drama. Just the thing I probably enjoy the most. After finishing season 2 I'm so glad I gave this show a chance. While this season at first - quality and otherwise - appeared so-so; the whole thing definitely is a good piece I would surely recommend.

This review contains spoilers. More a rant than a review.

The first season was a breath of fresh air. I'm short of words to describe how much I enjoyed it. The character of Hachiman, his unconventinal interactions, unexpected decisions and most of all his almost post-ironic philosophy. All this and more made the first season of Oregairu so very interesting and fun to watch!..

But the 'kan' becomes a major disappointment. The closure we get is so generic and bland.. and unnaturally happy-endish. The whole 'snafu' set-up is rapidly flattened into generic romcom.

Spoiler alert!

How does the twisted, distrustful, ever doubting personality of Hachiman morph into lovey-dovey ...

Preliminary (8/13 eps)
This is nothing new or unexpected in any way. The demon-king-in-a-high-school setting was overused like a thousand times already. This is as cliché as it gets.

There are many points that would disappoint average viewer: overpowered protagonist that breathes through the hardest content, harem-ish girl-swarm, unnecessary explanations of magic that contain many words but don't actually make sense etc and etc.

Still the show is somewhat well made even though it's nothing original so I can enjoy it to a degree. But it doesn't make me feel anticipation for the next episode. More like: "Oh, the new one is out, lets watch I guess".

If you don't ...
