SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly one of the best romantic mangas I have ever read.
The plot was perfect, the development between specifically the romantic aspect of Taichi and Kuze's romantic relationship was really good, and it made total sense (for me at least) that their relationship might not have lasted forever.
I liked how love was portrayed in this story, messy, complicated and confusing nonetheless.
Even though I overall loved this manga, there are just some things that really didn't make sense for me.
story: 8/10
...
as said, a very good story, nothing tooooo crazy of course some of the interactions might have been a little over the top just like the part with Kensuke's reaction but that just wasnt for "drama" but rather to explain how complicated love and friendship are intertwined espercially with people who are attracted to the same sex, espercially what effect it has in their friends and how their feeelings are thoughts are.
Art: 8/10
I love how the art style changes depending on the atmosphere, when its serious its more of an realistic art style, but when its supposed to be funny then the art style would go into a more "chibi" like art style.
characters: 8/10
great depth of characters, just like with the characters of "March comes in like a lion" characters such as Masamonu, kyouko and a little tiny bit with Nikaidou ( i love him), we the viewers might have had a very negative view of them upon first look and impression, but what Kaito exceptionally did in this manga was to underline and go in depth with the "annoying character" trope's back story, no matter how long or short that was, take for instance Mami's long back story of why she is like this, and Kensuke's very very short reasoning to why he may have resentment towards gay men. Of course none of their backgrounds EXCUSE their behaviours, but rather makes us readers more understanding of what their actions and thoughts are coming from.
enjoyment: 7/10

overall: 8/10
ALRIGHT SO WHAT I REALLY DONT GET RIGHT
FIRST I WANT TO SAY I DO ENJOY BL AND OR SAME-SEX ROMANCE DONT GET ME WRONG
but I really do think we need some lgbt+ awareness mangas that also touch upon more heartbreaking instances, such as what i thought this story was going towards until the last fucking chapter.
I really thought this was going to be a more heart wrenching unrequited love story for Touma and Masumi, since the whole 53 chapter really lead it up to that.
BUT NO
It's not like I'm really mad at the ending, it just made me confused.
Throughout the story we all knew Touma loved Taichi, but until he properly confessed Taichi had absolutely no idea that Touma liked him. So from what we learned about Taichi, it didn't seem like he had any feelings ( romantic) for Touma, or even for any other men, so the reader was set up to believe he was straight.
Same with Masumi, she said that she didn't feel the same way she feels with Kuze like she did with her ex-boyfriends, underlining how special ( romantically) Kuze is for her.
The only consisted sexual orientation-wise of all the main characters were Kuze and Touma.
the reason why im upset with this story was
1) Taichi said nemourous times he cherished and held Touma dear bc he was his bestfriend, he even went berserk in his bedroom when he felt like he couldnt stay friends with his logn time childhood friend bc of a confession, if he really did have romantic feelings wouldnt he have accepted there?
2) Masumi was set up to be lesbian, or at least BI but leaning towards liking girls more.
and then the ending....
Oh boy i must admit when i first read the few first chapters i was rooting for Touma x Taichi, no lie, but as the story progressed i thought this was going to be a harsh, realistic unequited love story.
And it was set up to be, then boom....
it would have been fine if it ended up this way if Kaito had made some more chapters, using them to develope Taichi and Toumas relationship in a way that would make sense, for instance how Taichi would warm up to Touma or something.
But no, it's just:
Boom, Masumi with some glasses dude who is jealous bc oh she is BI
Kuze got a man, no actually good for her, #1 best girl
and then Touma and Taichi.... Like I love the two but since there was no romantic development for them throughout the whole 53 chapters only for them to get married which is revealed on literally 3 pages, makes me feel like that this was some fan-service bullshit.
I just don't get why Kaito would make everything in the story right by making sure they would stay together, especially Taichi and Touma underlining that they still can stay friends even though Touma is gay, even though Touma is in love with Taichi and even though Taichi couldn't return his romantic feelings, honestly I would have been really fine with that if Kaito had ended the story right there....
yeah i dont think anyone would read this stupid long review, this is just me venting
