Every once a while, you come across an anime, that steals your breath and leaves you with so many new thoughts. For myself, it was "Higurashi no naku koro ni", also known as "When They Cry".
A very mature show, combined with mystery. The story it self is about a group of friends living in the rural mountain city, Hinamizawa.
They all attend the same school and enjoy playing board games, partaking in competitive challenges with one another, and attending the annual Watanagashi Festival. The long summer days for the five friends are care-free and innocent.
Until something goes terribly wrong...

So, this is one of the typical romance stories.
A girl finds herself in a tough situation, in this case Maya, a model who can't smile properly in front of cameras... until she meets Pierre, the lunch box seller, who she ends up falling in love with. The characters are very adorable, and are very easy to grow fond of, even though the story is so short. It's very cliché though, with not that many surprises in that plot, and personally, I could use a little more drama in their relationship, that in my opinion is just too sickly sweet.
