Similar urban setting, witty dialogues, fight scenes and supernatural elements to be found in both. Durarara focuses on various characters on Tokyo's Ikebukuro district. The latter is more centered on the main character and has more shounen aspects. Durarara overall has a longer run and feels more mysterious. Noragami is more accessible. Either way they still settle the same atmosphere and keep you on the seat.

Fantasy-oriented SOL comedies featuring mythological creatures living in the real world (in the case of Kobayashi-san, dragons). Dance in the Vampire Bund
|
Dance in the Vampire Bund is exactly if a person like Shinobu got it's main role for another anime, and it does it's job right: - Both by Shaft, have a plot dealing with the supernatural and some fearsome characters. - Action's evident on both, but it's more noticeable in Vampire Bund. - Aside from similar Shaftiness (widescreen intros, quick camera cuts and awesome cinematography), they also share good amounts of drama and fanservice. - Telling the differences, Bakemonogatari is more mysterious and weirder and deal with more supernatural beings, and Vampire Bund is less dialogue-focused, so you'll focus more on the whole action than people mostly talking in order to solve their problems.

Same samurai living concept. Humor in both (more prevalent in Gintama). Both have hungry characters and quite of an episodic storyline. Fights are badass and people chill out when bored. Differences Samurai Champloo isn't sci-fi. Gintama is more longer and doesn't focus more on it's soundtrack values.

Gainax. Epic mecha-driven plots encouraging hard work, friendship and teamwork. And, accompanied by comedy and drama elements (but you'll have more laughs on TTGL than the 1st season of Top wo Nerae), and fanservice. Both have characters who stand and pose themselves by crossing their arms. Gunbuster shows a more femenine attitude, while you'll shed manly tears after watching TTGL. Good animes if you love mecha.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
|
If you see the sypnosis of both animes, they may not look too similar: Mononoke is about a medicine seller in which job is to try to protect people from Mononoke/demons, while Madoka is basically an Evangelion-like turn on magical girls. If you watch both animes, then you'll be surprised that they would look somewhat similar: plot twists, weird imagery, unsettling moods, fighting against monsters, and places taken something from an overly surreal world. Mononoke is more episodic as it tells a different story through it's arc-driven plot, but if you're looking for dark, psychedelic anime, then those shouldn't be missed.

Very supernatural, mysterious, Japanese, arc-driven series. Both have psychedelic art, one of them having it as a basis for the whole anime. Paying attention is the norm for watching the two series. One thing though, while both animes have Mystery tags, Mononoke falls more into the horror genre, while the Monogatari series is focused more on romance and fanservice.

Psycho relationships with the male main character of the show, showing a good example of yanderes. Thrillers with weird storylines and very violent scenarios. And pretty moe artstyles. Dissimilarities Mirai Nikki isn't really a "harem". Higurashi hasn't a Hunger Games like plot.

Both involve living in the small parts of Japan. - In Higurashi because the MC had to move on there. - In Shinsekai Yori because it takes place on a dystopia on the new millenium. They also involve horror, mystery and emotional moments. Just don't get fooled by the moe artwork of Higurashi.

Concepts about "time traveling" are being noticed in both shows and the characters try to handle it. These thrillers also start out like comedies, and later takes turns for the worse. Both put the design of moeblob characters and add them into dark scenarios. Higurashi has gore and is more focused on mystery and murder. Madoka is less violent, but still surreal. You can see some similarities in the plot elements as well, such as replaying time. Both are recommended for brutal moe fans. But Madoka has 99% less blood than Higurashi so far as I know, so pick your poison. Highly recommended for horror/thriller fans as well.

They mark Trigger's infamous direction outside Kill La Kill, Inou-Battle, Little Witch Academia, and the currently-airing Hacka Doll. They're known for having low-budget animation, crazy dialogue and twists, mostly undeveloped supporting characters, tropes and the like. If the mind of a little kid had made an anime, those two may be it. Please note that Ninja Slayer has pretty much of a bigger budget than Inferno Cop, so don't expect 100% cut-out animation on the first.

One Punch Man
|
By far later episodes of One Punch Man really gave me a strong Gintama vibe. Why? * They both are about the misadventures of it's heroes (Gintama with a samurai, OPM with a tokusatsu hero) * REALLY similar parodic humor, including high levels of randomness. * In plot, both would start out without a particular story arc whatsoever until this kind of stuff would later come, while Gintama tries to be more episodic with it's own arcs. * Both also have good fight scenes. There are some dissimilarities, like OPM having less females and a highly overpowered MC, and Gintama touching a lot of references to other series and being more longer. They will not dissapoint in the anime comedy zone and will get you hooked for more. And also, be sure to check out the OPM manga if you want more of it.

Characters deal with the supernatural with a similar atmosphere and artstyles, featuring fanservicy shots. Dissimilarities One has a focused straight normal relationship, while the other is pretty much "harem", think about that. Bakemonogatari doesn't show nudity like Sankarea's level, but the latter shows 25% less fanservice in quantity. Bakemonogatari mostly focuses on "arrebations" and vampires. Sankarea instead makes it's direction into zombies. There's a mystery involving on each character on Bakemonogatari compared to just one in Sankarea.

I just watched the first episodes of both and around 7 minutes while starting to watch KLK some of the characters really gave me a FLCL vibe. They also have a significant weird factor, but FLCL takes it's dementia to the extreme. These two shows can also be compared with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in terms of Gainax nature and soundtracks, with them having their own respective shining features. Those 3 shows = Gainax heaven.
