So far, so good, I'm liking it. The continuation of Übel Blatt (which I also have read), the high-dark-fantasy manga, presents us with a set of new characters, while some return once again. Köinzel, the demi-human rogue hero turned a beacon of hope, suffers the weight of his actions from the previous story, both the good and the bad. With sword expertise and grit, the hero embarks on a new adventure against an old foe that has learned new tricks.
The art is nice, a solid 7. So far, I think it's a good read for those who enjoy high fantasy medieval stories with a dark ... turn. I'll keep reading to see what happens next.

There is a phrase that one of the characters said and has stuck with me while reading this whole masterpiece of classic dark fantasy: "You make the best of what you have, and that makes you awesome!". In this vengeance story, we have a fallen hero labelled a villain, a great story about betrayal because of envy, where the main character is not (brokenly) overpowered, and a worldbuilding constructed from the first volume to the last, with a little bit of spiciness to top it.
The art is a solid 7 in my opinion, but the script is what hooks you.
Nevertheless, there are some characters that ... are underused, although they serve their purpose.
This half-fairy story, which would put Legolas on his knees, is highly recommended for those who love high fantasy, stories about vengeance, dark experiments, and underdogs. Hope you give it a try

I would recommend this anime to everybody who enjoys Kengan Ashura or Baki, everybody who enjoys martial arts or hand-to-hand combat in anime should give this series a try.

At times, the animation seems a bit incomplete, but the fights are really well-choreographed, realistic (outside of the main roster of fighter characters being killing machines engineered for carnage), and animated. This may be because the studio wanted quality animated fights in an anime about fighting, which makes total sense. In the name of god, I knew I was gonna see dangerous dudes beating the crap out of each other, so that's where I want the quality ... to be.

Story-wise, It's Okei. It mostly follows the manga drawn by Keisuke Itagaki (Baki's mangaka), with the twist being the main character of this story is not Bunsichi Tanba. It's a story about controlling oneself in a world that wants you to snap, but to know oneself means to also test your limits, a thing which the characters in this anime try in every episode.

NOTE: I read the original manga, as well as the one drawn by Keisuke Itagaki (Baki's mangaka) so I have to admit I was very hyped about this anime. I'm also a Martial Arts practitioner, so the Martial Arts moves in anime really get me. Nevertheless, I tried to be as objective as I could.
