This anime led me to believe that the Japanese have a 6th sense existent only to them. A sense that can conjure up every feeling hidden within one self and bring it blasting towards the surface. Happiness, sadness, depression, love, it's all there and in abundance. AnoHana makes you cry in every single episode (and you're going to need full boxes of tissues for the last one, trust me), but not always of sadness. You cry for longing to have a friend who treats you as wonderfully as Menma, a love that burns as bright as Jintan's, the fun of Poppo's company, the thoughtfulness ... of Anaru, the security given by Tsuruko's advice, and even the thought of having Yukiatsu by your side. But most of all, you cry for the sense of perfection shown by this group of energetic and happy friends, living life for a wonderful purpose.

It is most certainly the best romance comedy school life anime ever. It shows all aspects of life that have actual pertinence to adolescence and is a must-see for all anime lovers out there, independent on what genre you most like.
