The second season of Rising Impact builds on the foundation laid in the first season. It dives deeper into the world of competitive golf while further developing its young protagonist, Gawain Nanaumi. This season continues to blend the intensity of sports anime with the technical intricacies of golf, making it both educational and entertaining.
Story and Character Development
Season 2 focuses on Gawain's growth as a golfer and competitor facing increasingly challenging opponents at the prestigious Camelot Academy. The narrative explores the psychological and emotional hurdles of pursuing greatness in an often organized and slow-paced sport. Gawain's journey becomes more complex as he faces skilled rivals who
...
bring their unique strategies and backstories into play.
One of the standout aspects of this season is how it handles character interactions and rivalries. Gawain’s relationships with his peers, particularly Lancelot Norman and Kiria Nishino, are explored more deeply, adding layers to their characters and making their conflicts on the golf course more compelling. However, while these relationships are fleshed out, some secondary characters still feel underdeveloped, which might leave viewers wanting more from these interactions.
Animation and Direction
The animation quality remains consistent with the first season, with Lay-duce doing a commendable job bringing the sport to life. The depiction of golf techniques, weather conditions, and terrain intricacies is visually engaging, making each match feel unique and thrilling. Director Hitoshi Nanba continues to use the same methods that kept the first season visually dynamic, ensuring that even non-golf enthusiasts can stay engaged with the story.
Themes and Execution
A recurring theme in this season is perseverance in the face of adversity. Gawain’s journey highlights the mental toughness required to succeed in a sport as demanding as golf. This season also delves into the importance of strategy over raw power, as Gawain learns that every shot requires careful consideration of multiple factors. This lesson is well illustrated through the various challenges he faces.
However, some of the first season's criticisms persist. The pacing occasionally feels uneven, with specific episodes dragging due to the detailed focus on golf mechanics, which might appeal to only some viewers. Additionally, while the season provides some resolution to ongoing storylines, it still needs a clear long-term objective, leaving the overall narrative direction somewhat ambiguous.
Final Thoughts
Rising Impact Season 2 is a solid continuation of the series, offering a deeper look into the sport of golf through the lens of shonen anime. It balances technical detail with character drama, though it might only partially satisfy viewers looking for more traditional sports anime pacing. For fans of the first season and those interested in golf, this season provides a rewarding experience despite minor shortcomings.
Overall, Rising Impact Season 2 is worth watching for its unique blend of sports action and detailed exploration of golf, earning it a strong recommendation for fans of the genre.

"Oshi no Ko" anime is seriously awesome! Despite being mainstream, it totally lives up to the hype. The way it dives into the glitz and drama of the idol world is super engaging and keeps you hooked right from the start.
The characters, man, they are so well done! Each one of them feels real and relatable. You can't help but root for them, laugh with them, and sometimes feel a bit heartbroken too. The character growth throughout the series is something to look out for – it's done really well.
And can we talk about the animation? It's just awesome. The art style is clean, expressive,
...
and really brings the story to life. It does a great job of capturing all the emotions and drama happening on-screen.
What I really appreciate about "Oshi no Ko" is how it balances the fun parts with the serious stuff. It’s not just about the glitz and glam; it also shows the tough and not-so-glamorous side of being in the spotlight. But despite the serious themes, the show keeps a positive vibe overall, which is pretty cool.
Overall, if you're into anime that mix slice of life with a bit of drama and a peek into the entertainment industry, you've gotta check out "Oshi no Ko". It's a great watch, and I'm already looking forward to the next episodes!

Hidden Gem.
If you couldn't tell from the title, BOFURI isn't an anime that you shouldn't take seriously and expect anything crazy from. The characters are hilarious, the atmosphere is light and refreshing, and the storyline centers around a beginner gamer that seems to get herself into the craziest of situations. This anime doesn't try to be anything absurd or impress you with some intricate plot or characters, but it's just there to have fun, and that's a refreshing take. BOFURI is one of those anime that you need if you're looking to just sit back, relax, turn off your brain, and enjoy a good
...
laugh or two. Enjoy all the smiling faces in this anime. Enjoy all the crazy and entertaining things going on. Enjoy how overpowered the main character seems to get every episode. Just have fun and enjoy it! You will love it for how cute the show is.

Unpopular opinion here.
This anime is "trashy." It's true, compared to other great anime, it is trashy. But to me, and some of us, trashy can be good.
If you like fantasy action, where the main hero sucks but yet he is powerful, and get all the girls kind of clique. Then this is for you.
Anyways, this is a show that was based on a manga that was very directly inspired by Mirai Nikki, and it's kinda' evident at points, but it does enough of its own thing to be quite interesting. Despite the obvious inspiration, this show goes down a very different pathway and explores some
...
very different things. The way to know if you might like this series would be to ask yourself, "Do I want to see a death game anime with "regular" people who are thrown in that are given one random power when tossed in and now must survive and kill others with some impressive world-building and characters?" There have been a few animes with this sorta' set-up, but not too many in recent years, and so far, this has been one of the better-executed ones. The characters are interesting, the rules of the game are more explained than usual, and there are exciting scenarios the characters find themselves in. The music, opening, and endings are also outstanding.
Ultimately, if you want a show about people struggling to either survive or hunt each other to kill, with some exciting characters and set-ups to put these characters to battle for survival and explore a power they're each given to fight to the death, or form alliances or back-stab each other or what have you, this is a pretty entertaining watch.

Anime with protagonists brought into video game worlds, or worlds patterned after video games, are pretty typical these days. Some of them are very good, whereas others are idiot wish-fulfillment harem garbage with non-existent plots. So when another offering in this genre is released, the first question I have is what will make this one different?
If you watch the initial episode, you'll soon learn what makes it different. What starts with a light happy-go-lucky tone, quickly takes a darker turn. In doing so, this anime quickly demonstrates what sets it apart from the others. Our protagonist isn't just at odds with an antagonist, but the

world itself from all sides — a pariah who must fulfill his role despite everything turned against him. I only was casually interested at the start of this episode. Then I was borderline uncomfortable. And by the end, I was eagerly anticipating the next installment. The following episode didn't disappoint — what a great show.
