I usually would not rate an anime without having finished it, but there are only 14 episodes out as of now and I feel like it is not getting enough attention, so here I am.

Story- 7
The show is broken up into multiple arcs that take about 4-5 eps to complete. I like that the setting/country it takes place in changes with each arc. It's about a group of people who pull off large scale con acts. There are twists; some more obvious than others but I find that they do a good job surprising its audience.

Art- 9
This is where it gets really good. ... Wit studios is doing an amazing job with a super vibrant background and beautiful scenery every episode. It really makes the experience visually entertaining.

Sound- 9
The ed is literally Queen's Great Pretender like hello??? The bgm is something you can bop to and not something you'd usually get in an anime. It pairs very well with the vibrant art and setting.

Character- 7
They haven't done a lot of character development/background yet but I assume it will be covered more in depth as the show goes on. One of the things that makes the show entertaining is its character dynamic. The relationship between characters and their banter is amusing to watch and I find all the characters in the main cast likeable and interesting.

Enjoyment- 8
This show has a lot of elements I'm drawn to: interesting and vibrant art, a banging soundtrack and an interesting cast and premise. Please consider giving it a watch!!

Gintama is an anime I started because I saw a video on youtube. Thank you YouTube, for giving me this awesome anime. By far the best anime I've ever watched, Gintama combines the three things you must have in a shounen anime: Action, Comedy and Friendship- and brings it to a whole new level.


Story: 9
Gintama is about three characters who run a jack-of-all-trades shop or a yorozuya, in Edo Japan- taken over by Aliens. They get all sorts of customers and take all sorts of requests so it's pretty diverse. Gintama is generally divided into a couple non-connecting episodes and then a three to five ... episode arc. The non-connecting episodes are all comedy/action, really funny and meant to make you laugh. However, the best thing about Gintama is that you can be crying because of laughter and then three episodes later you can be crying of sadness. Gintama is a comedy while still being extremely deep. Although the comdey is sometimes more cultural it also combines Western comedy and they do a lot of parodies which are HILARIOUS.

Art: 7
The Gintama art is good while not being too fake. It gives it a more "real" feel because not every female character is walking around with giant breasts and big eyes and such. The men are not all ripped and they're all pretty much average citizens- except for the aliens.

Sound: 8
The OP and ED are all quite catchy and I personally love the background music. It really highness the tension(like it's supposed to". Certain music goes with certain characters which I think is cool. The Katsu-rap is amazing no one can tell me otherwise.

Character: 10
There are so many diverse characters in Gintama it's hard to keep track. The lazy main character who is actually really strong and will do what it takes when the time comes. The otaku "straight man" whose always there to keep you on Earth and the extremely badass(excuse my french) little girl who does care about her comrades. Then we have the Shinsengumi, Terrorists, Cabaret Girls... so many different characters none of them overlap and they'll always keep you entertained.

Enjoyment: 10
This is the type of anime where is 3am and you're laughing so hard over it that you think you'll have a heart attack, when your mom comes in and yells at you to sleep. You can watch it with your family, friends... it's entertainment for all. This show got me in it's web and hasn't let go.

Overall: 10
I would definitely watch it because this is by far the best anime I've ever watched. Like I said it has Action, Comedy and Friendship all packed in one beautifully wrapped present called- Gintama.
