Both series involve elements that arent usually seen in anime and rather in movies or series and are about a group of "criminals" and their adventures in small arcs that each last about 3 to 5 episodes

Both stories are about the beautiful and heartwarming journey of their introverted female main characters learning more about themselves,other people,life,friendships and love,followed by really nice soundtrack and animation.

If you liked Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo add

...then you might like Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! add

The dynamics of the main couple are really similar between the two series(seemingly ordinary good hearted helpful guy and "quirky" girl with special traits).Both are lighthearted and fun to watch for the most part,but have some sadder elements occasionally.

Similar dialogue and narrating style.Both have supernatural elements,a big cast of characters and small,seemingly unrelated at first arcs that all come together at the end.
