Death Note is one of the most popular anime series that have ever been aired, and there is good reason behind that. There aren't any big robots, crazy samurai, scary monsters, or talking dogs, so how does it get it's popularity? It's because of the suspenseful plot, likable characters, and extremely interesting music.
STORY:
Death Note's story is a sight to behold, as every episode is filled with well thought-out twists. You will be sitting on the edge of your seat for every minute of every episode. And for those of you who enjoy fillers, there's bad news. There is not a single filler episode in the
...
entire series.
ART:
The art was outstanding. I still have each and every expression Light used forged into my memory. Each character had their own look, unlike many shows that only really change the hair.
SOUND:
I have never come across a series with better music. Each opening and closing song fit the atmosphere of the series perfectly. And the background music was so fantastic it gave me shivers. I even downloaded the background music onto my iPod.
CHARACTER:
Each characters thoughts were displayed excellently, keeping any viewer from feeling lost. I could relate myself slightly to every character, making every moment even more enjoyable. Some of the character's backgrounds were not shown as well as the could have been, but that just made the characters even more mysterious.
ENJOYMENT:
I enjoyed every moment of Death Note. It was suspenseful and had no major holes in the story.
OVERALL:
Overall, I give Death Note a whopping 9.8/10

Bokurano was one of those shows that you can't really like unless you really look at the deeper meaning. If you're looking for a series that you can watch without thinking about, then you might as well stop reading right now.
STORY:
Bokurano's story is very unique and interesting. You may think of it as just mindless killing, but similar to Gantz, it is a psychological anime that shows what happens when normal people are put into hopeless situations and are forced to put their lives on the line.
ART:
The art was not as good as it could have been, but I had no problems with it. It
...
was a bit annoying having to switch from 2d to 3d a few times in every episode, but it wasn't something intolerable.
SOUND:
I thought the sound was pretty good, and was able to partially cover up for the slightly disappointing art. There was nothing wrong with the sound in Bokurano, but I wasn't blown away by it in the least.
CHARACTER:
This is where Bokurano really stands out. There were 15 main characters in the series, and depending on how you look at it, there could even be a few more. At first, I was a bit skeptical, seeing as though there are only 24 episodes in the show. But amazingly, I learned about the back story of every single character and realized that each one was very much different from the others. And even though there was so much character development, it did not take away from the story.
ENJOYMENT:
I really enjoyed seeing how each character reacted. There may not be enough action for some people in Bokurano, but there was plenty of drama to keep you interested throughout each episode.
OVERALL:
With all that said, I'll give this series an 83/100, a solid score.

Prince of Tennis is probably not the first show on your 'to watch' list, right? Well if I were you, I might want to change that. You don't need any bit of love for tennis to enjoy this anime. The strange tactics and tecniques used in this show could never be in the same category as the sport they are used for unless you know someone who can hit a tennis ball hard enough to knock their opponent into the stands.
It is a tremendously thrilling experience watching Echizen Ryoma advance in his path to defeat his father, who is considered a legend in the world
...
of tennis. Following the characters as they grow mentally and physically is like standing atop your car as you're driving down the highway. If you can live to tell the tale, it will be something that you'll never forget.
The enjoyable characters in Prince of Tennis make this show a difficult one to part with once you've watched a few episodes. The drama and thrill of someone coming back from a 5-0 deficit is priceless. There is not a single episode in the entire series that isn't enjoyable, which is amazing considering the length of the series. Every person that watches this anime finds one character that they like more than the rest and latches onto them, experiencing that characters every moment, good and bad, first hand.
Whatever rumors you may have heard about this show should be ignored. If you miss out on what Prince of Tennis has to offer, you may end up regretting it.

First of all, I want to say that the anime of Gantz, is not as bad as people who have read the manga have made it sound. Also, I am not a person who watched it for the gore or nudity, but for the story and overall message. I started this anime expecting a disaster. But as I continued to watch the series, paying attention to every detail, I began to feel a thrill that no other anime has offered. It is that thrill that made this anime unique.
Gantz was a thrilling adventure about an
...
average high school student, Kurono Kei, who didn't think about anyone but himself. He was just a perverted kid that thought only about women. But all that changed when he died. Well, I'm not sure if he really died, but that doesn't matter.
He was sent to a room with several other people that had similar near-death experiences. In the middle of that room was a large black sphere known as Gantz. This mysterious sphere sent Kurono and his group on various alien hunts. Whoever died was replaced for the next round. Kurono's main goal was only to survive until he discovered that he would be able to go back to his normal way of life if he killed enough aliens.
That is the main plot of this series. The strange events that occur along the way are what makes the series stand out from the crowd. If you're bored and can't find anything to watch like I was when I started this series, I suggest you try Gantz out for a spin. If you do, you may get more than you were looking for.
