Smut
That is the only word that can be used to describe this short series. A series where once you get passed the fact that our main guy is fucking ACTUAL animals, it's actually pretty strange, fun, and kinda hot to be honest.
Lets keep this short
~Story~
Story - Most male animals are gone or dead and now local zookeeper boi/man/shota/jailbait must breed with them all to keep the zoo running and maintain for cumming generations....oh yeah the animals turn into hot, sexy, horny human girls at night fall.
Mediocre at best. The story though in this series is not the real centerpiece you will have to read
...
this short series. Lets face it, you're reading it for the big booing booing, mommy milky, "Oh lord have mercy on me!" Tits. Anyone else is lying. But you know what, that's OK. This series doesn't sell itself as some story driven masterpiece. it knows why you keep going to the next chapter and it delivers. It makes no attempt to be anything more than boner material and provides with a new character each chapter. Each chapter also provides little fun facts for the animals in question, making it slightly educational....assuming you can read with all the booba everywhere. I will say this though to conclude; DAMN, does it look good.
~ART~
If you're going to make a hot, sexy, ecchi story you better be able to draw some AMAZING sexy, hot anime girls. Mepuchin can do this and let me tell ya, I love his style. This mans art in the story is very well done. Experessive, bouncy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), curvy, and just....well done. The detail he adds at points is the real highlight of this series. He know why we keep reading so he makes sure every character, every pair, every "scene" is well drawn.
~CHARACTERS~
the only purpose any of the characters served in this series was to get naked, fondled, and fucked.
because of the layout of this series and having new characters each chapter, you don't really grow close to any of them. As a result they all just fill a role in each chapter as our main man's new fuck toy. Even the main characters never get flushed out, and what you see at surface level is what you get the WHOLE. DAMN. SERIES.
~FINAL~
I like this series like how I like soda. Sweet, Nice treat for myself, But very bad for me and I question why I consume it. Even though I found this short read to be enjoyable there is nothing here that actually hooks you other than the sex and fanservice. Truthfully, its a forgettable read with cliché characters and story that is ONLY driven by sex and my perverted desire to see massive anime milkers.
BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
7/10 - High sexualization of characters with a extremely cliché and stupid hentai plot premise but a fun and dumb read for simple minded people like myself.

I'm going to make this short so we can all move on with our day.
The show isn't that bad, but more uncomfortable than anything. The story isn't a main priority in this show and relies more on the fan service and characters to keep it afloat WHICH ISN'T ALWAYS BAD IN ANIME! The characters though I FEEL didn't grow as well beyond Astarotte and arguably Naoya. As a result most of the other characters are just there to fill some kinda role. This could be anything from cutesy, comedic (most of the time), or just straight fan service. The music wasn't anything to right home
...
about. It did it's job and just added to the feel of the show, but no tracks really stood out for me. The OP and ED I skipped everything so take that as you will. The animation and art style in this show is probably it's best point. Granted, it aint nothing spectacular but it shines where it needs to.
In the end what im trying to say is this show is enjoyable.
However.....
The use of loli characters to use for the purpose of fan service and the "romance" aspect of this show made it relatively uncomfortable to me to watch regardless of how enjoyable the show is anywhere else. It's a uncomfortable feeling I haven't dealt with since kodomo no Jikan. So if you like sexualized loli characters in anime you will probably love this.
I'd probably tell anyone to skip it or watch the first 2 episodes to judge if it's for you.

When I watch a show like this, i'm usually guaranteed the 3 B's. -
-Boobs
-Butts
-Babes
This show delivers.
...
But other than it being another generic harem comedy with no real plot, poor characters, and no progression to the story or romance. Why would you watch it?
Because it's fun.
Ill try to keep this review short and spoiler free.
~STORY~
Set in an alternative version of Japan where the existence of monster is publicly know. As a result the humans try to lead the monsters into understanding human culture as we do theirs. This is under protection of the Inter-species exchange bill. Under this bill the monsters are to be given host families to live with, must always stay with the host family to prevent incident, and protected them from any harm that may be pressed onto them...this includes sexually. Violation will cause the monster to be deported and the human to face the full extent of the law. Scary.
Theres a bunch of other things as well, but I want to make this short so lets move on.
The problem with the story is that it is easily forgotten in the show. With the amount of fanservice, reckless amount of useless scenes, and the inclusion of a new character in the harem every "X" amount of episodes...it's kinda hard to move the story along. Add to the fact that none of the characters are even there half the time is something else that annoys me.
Speaking of which...
~CHARACTERS~
The characters in this show are continuously growing. We have 7 members in the harem when it's all said and done. This isn't include the director, kii the dryad, the entirety of mon, and any other monsters that are coming our way. With this many characters and the short amount of time they had to cover...yeah...theres not much. each character though seems to have a strong personality in some way or represent some kind of...fetish.
Examples - Rachne representing bondage, dominatrix, bdsm, whatever you want to call it.
Other than that the characters are just plain, bland, boring, and uninteresting (for the most part).
~ART~
im going to sum this up the best way i can
Tits = Good art
Nudity = Good art
anything relating to the monsters girls = Good art
Everything else = Wh@t 1s a P3n (translation - What is a pen)
The art shines when it wants to, which is...kinda bad since it only looks good during scenes where skin will be shown.
~SOUND~
I didnt really listen to the music. It seemed fine, but i didnt pay attention.
As for dub - None yet as of 10/2/2015 at 12:28AM
Op and ED - I skipped
~FINAL~
So with this relatively negative review, why would anyone watch this?
A - Because it's fun.
Yes this show is bad, it doesn't hide it. in fact the only reason I started this show was because of the monster girl aspect of it. This show is fun, funny, and entertaining. However, no matter how I look at it there is one thing I will admit.
THIS SHOW IS BAD IN EVERYWAY.
It has a bad story, bad characters, uninteristing events, excessive fanservice, Some of the humor didnt even make me laugh, un-original.
But you know what...I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW.
This show is indeed a guilty pleasure that I have smothered myself in. I will be buying the show, i have every volume of manga. Hell, I've started monster girl quest just because of this show. (BTW - thats a hentai visual novel, you have been warned) I love the humor, I love the style, I love the characters, I love this show.
However leaving my view behind heres my rating
Rating - Stream/skip it (if it isn't for you)

Alright, I want you to imagine a zombie....
Raise your hand if you thought of an undead creature with practically no intelligence seeking the flesh, blood, and brains of humans and only being motivated to eat.
Well this show does have a zombie....who is an undead creature....thats it.
As usual I'll try to keep my reviews brief.
~STORY~
Set in present day japan we are introduced with our zombie loving Protagonist, Chihiro. After an incident where the families pet cat dies in an accident, Chihiro tries to resurrect it...and succeeds. However, After a fated meeting with rea during his experiments she steals some of the potion to use as a
...
poison on herself. After her failed attempt at suicide she runs from home only to be killed when confronted by her father who accidentally pushes her off a cliff to her death. From there....You have to watch.
The story in a nutshell isn't to bad. odd, but good.
~CHARACTERS~
The characters in this show were impressive. With the show having a fairly small cast of characters we got to know everyone. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you see it) the characters seem to follow a very generic route that we have all seen before. The only difference though is the way there presented.
For example - Chihiro is the obsessed otaku for zombie/horror movies.
~ART~
Studio deen...enough said
Actually the art wasn't terrible in this show. It was bland, had very little color at times, and looked boring. But the show did shine when it wanted too, but not to the degree of complete eye candy. Honestly, don't watch this show for the art.
~SOUND~
The music was fine. I usually skipped the OP and ED because they were boring and too energetic for me. Honestly, I was expecting this show to be darker than it was. The music is fine, but nothing stands out.
The dub is amazing.
~FINAL~
This show was good, But not a master piece. With the low quality art, strange story, and less than pleasing ending (BECAUSE IT DOESN'T END!!!), this show doesn't score well with me. The show was enjoyable, and I liked how it tried to explain the complications of try to preserve a zombie while hiding it from the public. It's not that I don't recommend this show, but there are better options out there. If your looking for a short series to enjoy by yourself then watch it.

With an anime like this I didnt have high hopes, which is a good thing because I found this show at my local video store for $7 - $12 and really thats all it's worth. In no way is this a "bad show", but to sum it up, skip it.
~STORY~
Burn up takes place in a futuristic japan with our crew of mostly female cops called project warrior. Project warrior is an anti - terrorist group with hand picked members with different skill sets and very secretive by nature. Thats really the sum up of the story. Until the halfway point. The show goes on a
...
Crime of the week thing and it worked. after that though, thats when I started to lose interest in an already mediocre show.
~CHARACTERS~
Nothing interesting. The characters in this show get very little development and become quite.....boring. If they would of had more screen time and development like Rio it may have been more interesting.
~ART~
Old, thats all I can say. Im not going to be harsh with this one but ill compare it to trigun. It works, but it's nothing amazing.
~SOUND~
The music is fine, the dub is bearable for the most part. No real complaints from this end.
~FINAL~
The show could of done alot better. After episode 7 it takes a 180 and tries to be serious with a rather interesting story. But because of the hole it dug itself into, I could not take it serious...AT ALL. Had it been serious from the start, lost the fan service, and more character development, it would of worked. But it's senseless humor (WHICH WAS GOOD BTW), lack of character, un-originality, and excessive fanservice...yeah theirs no redemption.
RATING - skip it

How can a show that relates itself around alcohol be interesting?
A basic question, but one i was curious to know when I started this show. The creation and history of alcoholic drinks that can relate to a person's life, but how? Well like all my reviews Ill keep it short and sum everything up trying to be as spoiler free as possible.
~STORY~
The show follows a common slice of life trait being.....theirs no real overarching story. The show revolves around problems that the characters are facing in life and how are genius bartender helps them through it. The shows problems are nothing of extreme, they
...
range from work issues to a hard married life. Its interesting how our Protagonist helps them though there problems. He gives lessons by the creation of drinks, more notably cocktails. In reality, this is perfect for the kind of show it is. Its a slow mellowed paced show with a calm and collect setting.
~CHARACTERS~
This unfortunately is were the show falls flat. We are introduced to a cast of characters each with there own problems, personality, and tastes. But the only person we actually get to know is the bartender. This also wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that we never did get to know him well as a character, just a bartender.
~ANIMATION~
The show is mixed when it comes to this. When the creation of drinks and the liquid effects appear, they look gorgeous. However, when its a casual scene or cocktails aren't being created, its rather bland in comparison. Its has a mix - mash of colors and looks gorgeous when it wants. But any other time, its fine.
~ SOUND~
There is no English dub that im aware of at this moment. However the music was perfect for this show. Slow, smooth, relaxing, just fits so perfect for the shows setting, atmosphere, pace, and all around enjoyment.
~FINAL~
The show gets a recommendation from me. The only complaint i have with the show is its first episode. If it wasnt for the second episode straightening things out to the point where I can understand it without thinking hard, i would of dropped it. Its a slow show as well, so not for fast paced action fans. If your after a mellow anime look no further, its slow, mellow, enjoyable, and partially educational.

Look, more than likely you already know this show. You know it's story, characters, and how action packed it is. Because of this im not going to repeat other reviewers and Im just going to sum everything up.
~STORY~
Amazing. Theres so much to be had and it takes more than the 25 episodes to cover everything. Thank god theres a second season on the way. If that doesn't answer everything theres always the manga or a 3rd season.
~CHARACTERS~
All unique in some way. Each character has a reason for what there doing and why they do it. This could be as simple as an easy life style
...
in the castle, to revenge.
~ART~
This show is gorgeous...end of discussion.
~SOUND~
The music is amazing, the dub is good but not my favorite.
~FINAL~
This show is probably one of the most popular anime to date to anyone in the anime scene or not. I love this show and cant wait to see more. My only fear is that the show will go over 100 episodes total. I have no problems with this, however, I dont want it to drag out and have a very bad ending. Altogether, I recommend this show...word of advise though, dont get to attached to certain characters. Everyone has a chance to die.

There are some shows that when people hear about them, you know there going to be -
A) Really Good
or
B) Really Bad
When I first heard of Higurashi it was because of a youtuber name GRArkada, A name that many of you are probably familiar with. Looking at the title and the art of the anime, i didnt expect to much.
...
BOY WAS I WRONG!
~STORY~
Due to spoiler reasons im going to imagine that you know how this story lays out. I will say that this style of story telling I like. It doesnt spoon feed you the answers to whats going on and you have to figure out whats happening and why people are dying. The story will keep you guessing till the end.
~CHARACTERS~
The show has a pretty large cast of characters so ill go over the basic ones.
Keiichi (I probably butchered his name) - He is new resident in the small village of Hinamizawa. Being that he is new he is unaware of local legends such as Oyashiro curse. Outgoing, but hides a bad past.
Rena - Other than being my favorite character, rena is the outgoing, lovable, some what child-like character of the series. She is very nice but hides a...dark side.
Shion - Mion's twin sister. An outgoing girl that acts as the leader of there small group. Next to be the head of her family, she has alot of stress and influence in the show.
Mion - Shion's twin sister. Mion is like her sister but is not associated with the family. It's revealed during the show she had an interest in Satoshi. Because of this a chain tends to occur with her and satoshi during the show.
Rika - A little girl with more to her than it seems. On the outside she is an average 7-10 year old girl with an outgoing personality. However though, she is a very reserved, very intelligent girl with a very dark side.
Satoko - Rika's friend and the most mentally traumitized character (In my opinion). On the outside she outgoing, playful, average little girl. However she holds something of a mental scar with her. A very dark, depressing past.
The characters of this show really play a major role in the development of the story. Each character has some kind of dark hidden past. Each deal with it differently. And each hit there limits in different ways. In other words, they help with the story's progression and the development for each other. But each character is a ticking time bomb, waiting to be set off.
~SOUND~
First off - I love the op and ed of this show. They represent the show well in tone and pace.
Secondly - The tracks played during the show is usually the same melody with different instruments. But it does it VERY WELL. However though anything else played during the course of the show is mostly forgettable.
Thirdly - The dub is awful. Doesn't matter how much I praise this show...that dub is pathetic. Go sub...seriously....do it.
~ART~
The art is both a hit and miss for me. Usually the show has a slow pace, so theres no need for over-the-top animation. However, even when the show picks up at each arc's climax the animation stays the same. This isnt a bad thing, in fact at times it adds to the horror aspect. But it's kind of ridiculous that the animation doesn't pick up to fit with the show. But hey, i'd rather have smoother animation than stop screen portraits.
~FINAL THOUGHT~
This show is amazing, however it is not for the faint of heart. Not to mention because the way the show is, some might get confused, others lost, and some will drop it. The show is defiantly not for kids and should viewed with knowledge that you will see blood, gore, death, violence, crusifiction, torture, and abuse. I am not kidding either. If you can handle this however, I highly recommend this show. Theres a reason It's a personal favorite.

Vampires have been in the media for a long time. Everything ranging from the 1900s till today. But vampires today are not at all what they were years ago. vampires today are sugar coated diamond gay boys that prefer to hook up with young girls that are 1000s of years younger than them (im looking at you twilight). So as you can imagine, walking into a show such as trinity blood was either going to be a hit or miss. To sum it up before you read the rest of this; i enjoyed the hell out of this show.
Ill try and keep this review
...
as short and straight to the point as possible.
~STORY~
The story for this show is actually pretty good. in this world lives vampires and humans (obviously). The two species are at the brink of war with each other and it's up to the church to take power and try to resolve the issues and prevent war. As the story progresses though we learn of things such as each sides motives and the "enemy of the world". Theirs alot more to this story, but explaining it would treed on spoiler territory.
~ART~
Being that this show was made back in 2005 ill admit that there are some flaws. However though, this show looks really good. The action scenes and transformations were eye candy and kept you interested till the end. at least it was for me anyway.
~Sound~
Other than the OP and ED, i can't say that there were many tracks that stood out. Don't get me wrong, the music fit the over all tone of the show and defiantly shined when needed. But there were no songs that I can say were amazing and tell you to go buy the OST. The music is good, but not amazing.
~Characters~
I think this is both the strongest but weakest point of the show. The main characters got alot of time, development, and connection that had me admire the characters. But the antagonist and side characters didnt get much to it. Some of the side characters never really changed though the show, which is unfortunate but hey, what are you going to do?
~ENJOYMENT~
This show was alot of fun. the show reminded me alot of trigun for reasons that im not willing to explain. It had alot of action, good characters, humor, and a story that kept me guessing at times. This show is not for everyone, but if you enjoy a somewhat dark shows, vampires, or trigun, There is a really good chance you will love this show.
However I would advise you to stream the show before you buy. I advise this because the show is not for everyone, as mentioned. Also there is ALOT of religious references in this show. I dont know how people feel about religious context in there shows, if your not a fan of it...at least stream it, It's still a fun show.

"How sad can this show be, it has to be an act or just very emotional people."
And then I watched the series from start to finish and the feels are very real.
Im not one for long reviews so I will try and wrap this up for anyone that wants to watch this show. Ill also try and make it as spoiler free as possible.
~Story~
Taking place exactly after the event in the first season clannad picks up where it left off but with a bit of a twist. First off the story follows them after high schools and we can see what they do with there
...
life. some go to college, others (like Tomoya) go to right to the work force. second Nagisa and Tomoya's relationship is explored from boyfriend/girlfriend to marriage. and finally other events that would spoil the show.
~Art~
The show really shines in it's art and animation. With the illusionary world, the opening, and some of the events, it's no surprise that this show looks good.
~Sound~
The music in this show is...amazing. With many of the tracks from the first season coming back and new tracks added, there should be no surprise that this soundtrack is amazing (One of my favorites at that).
As for the dub.....go for the sub (It's pretty freaking bad)
~Characters~
Being that there is only a few new characters coming into the show it's hard to bash on this catagory The old characters return (some leaving later for school or work), and only 1 real character actually comes in during the course of this show. I wont mention who this character is (assuming you havent spoiled yourself in this show yet) but they defiantly play a pretty major role in this show, even when he/she was first mentioned.
~Enjoyment~
To say that this show bored me is a complete LIE!!!! don't be fooled by it's first season, yeah it was good but that was the tip of this emotional rollercoaster of a show. I cannot stress people enough to watch this. Yeah it's not for everyone, but I feel that it is a show people should be watched at least once in there life. I STRONGLY recommend this show to anyone interested.
One last thing - I challenge you to watch this show in it's entirety (clannad and clannad ~after story~) and not cry during your course of watching or streaming of this show.
