I Mean the music is obvisouly amazing.
The story of this was interesting but i couldn't give it high scores on the ground the quality, of the video i watch was actualyl aweful.
Almost like it was animated in 240p and scaled up to 1080/4k..
I'm not really sure what else to say about it, the characters and story sounding them are obviously tied well to the timing of the music.
or at least they could be, it was consistently out of sync by about 0.5 seconds, but i put that down to the version i watched not the actualy video.

The art style is visually nice, from what i hear Ghibili are the go to for film art and even though this is old the detail in the back ground is really amazing. However the animation is a little underwhelming from what i'm used to.
However i'm no art critque so my appreciation is not that developed yet. The story was simple enough to follow along but not that intersting, the hardest thing about getting into this is that there are no spoken lines. It's not a silent film because of the music that accompanies it but the music seemed to almost be the same melody ...

This is a pretty easy-going comedy with not too much in the difficulty to understand part. The comedy is similar to that of Demon King Daimao with no ecchi scenes at all. If I had of watched this when it aired, I likely would have given this an 8/10 but as I had already seen Jahy last year which is a female lead version of the same story I found the experience a little lack luster. Although having the hero and demon opposite sex does allow for more comedic routines about one's romantics interest in this show.

Initial Thoughts. This show is phenomenal. This show also sucks. It stirs some weird conflicting emotions where i really enjoy it and as a critic think it's amazing and yet also it infuriates me at the same time. Like stubbing your toe in the dark going to a nice cold drink from fridge in the middle of the night, just to stab it again on the way back. it's like happy and frustrated at the same time. It has one of the best ideas explored in like a 4th wall or 5th ...

This is a solid 7. It’s basically a story about a school martial arts competition where the winner gets any wish granted. Not very original but it doesn’t need to be.
This is basically just a plain brawler. And a pretty enjoyable one at that with very third person narration typical of a lot of bash’em up shows. The Animation and the fights were definately the highlights. Up until the last episode this was actually a 7.5/10 and I was willing to put 8 into MAL however. The last two episode it drifted away from the high school tournament scene to basically battling gods and Son Wukong ... |
