The animes are actually very similar. Both Mei and Shizuku are very reserved and "lone wolfish" until their love interest appears turning their world upside down. The only main difference that may or may not upset people is Sukitte Ii Na Yo doesn't have a beach scene[the manga does though!]. Sukitte Ii Na Yo also is a bit more mature than Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun on the relationship aspect. Say I Love You is also a bit rushed but so is My Little Monster since they both kiss in the first episode. They're both great and cute short series of romance to watch if you want a bit of tsundere in your anime love life.
