Heroines from both stories find out their true passions from incidental events, and realize that they're incredibly talented. Skip Beat drags on and is about Kyoko becoming an actress whereas Ashita no Ousama centers around Yuu's love of screenwriting and directing. If you prefer josei, read Ashita no Ousama and if you enjoy shoujo more, begin with Skip Beat.

Have you ever wanted to read a shoujo that was realistic? Well these two manga are perfect examples of a realistic shoujo. The protagonists feel like they truly exist, and the problems they face are relatable. These two shoujos aren't simply about who is dating whom but the emotions that come hand in hand with falling in love.

Ninja's are a stereotype commonly found in Asian countries, especially Japan. These two manga although less popular than Naruto, share various similarities. One is that the protagonists are both ninjas named Kagetora, and romance is prominent in both.

These two mangas are similar in various ways, such as the boy-girl relationship, and one of them vying for the other's seemingly apathetic attention. In S.A., Hikari (the girl) wants to beat Kei (the boy), whereas its vice versa for the Last Game.

If you read the synopsis' of both stories, they seem identical, but the focus of both stories differentiates. In Forget About Love, more emphasis is placed on boys that hate her and the events that occur with each other. On the other hand, Six Half the spotlight is on her family life and the people who are close to her. Six Half is more of a slice-of-life while FAL is more of a romantic comedy.

Both mangas are historicals set in olden-day Japan, where samurais (although a dying breed) still existed. The art in both stories are one of the best I've ever seen, and not a single drawing looks as if they were drawn by an amateur. If you enjoy engrossing plot lines, mesmerizing characters and plenty of fights with a pinch of romance, I recommend spending time to read both of these fantastic masterpieces.

Shin Angyo Onshi

Shin Angyo Onshi (SAO) and Blade of the Immortal (BotI) are manga that are set in the past. There is plenty of fighting, suspense, adventure, and a great deal of gore. The main character involves a duo composed of a girl and a man, both parties seeking revenge. These stories aren't for the faint of heart, due to some mature themes like sexual assault or murder. If you like reading fighting manga with a little bit of fantasy, I recommend reading SAO first, and if you enjoy it, it's a given that you'll like BotI too.

Although these two mangas don't seem to have anything alike, the typical stereotype of poor girl meets rich boy appears in both stories, and we all know how those stories end.
