"How do you feel when the one you love doesn't love you back?"
Kuzu no Honkai (Scum's Wish) is a story about how our protagonists trying to hide their feeling toward their crushes and the fate entwines them to stay together as they lick their own wound and pain. Kuzu no Honkai isn't a romance nor a comedy that will present you a happy-go-lucky story. It's a story that reminds us that "love can hurt sometimes"

The story focuses on two highschooler: Hanabi and Mugi. Both suffer from unrequited love for a long time. If we take a look from society pov, it's a forbidden

love since the target of their crushes are their school teachers. As both know each other circumstance, they dicide to stick together make other pretend to be their "crush". Usually in unrequited romance story, a new feeling tends to sprout from the protag staying together, understanding each other, thus gives birth "I won't let him/her hurt anymore" feeling that grows into love. But this one is different. I feel like the author tries to show you how difficult it is to let go off someone you love so much or I should say to "finally accept" the fact you're not the one your crush loves.

The characther design looks like the same with the manga, I like it. It doesnt have many background that will give you "oh amazing!" feeling. Nevertheless it's still great.
Sound: 7
OP and ED aren't really to my liking. But those songs are not unpleasant at least. OST fit well on each scene.
Character: 8
Since the beginning I think this will have character development. The most notably is how Hanabi deals with her feeling and a feeling from someone from unexpected side. Although I kinda disappointed how Mugi is lead so easily, It turns out for the better for him.
Enjoyment: 8
There is no needed to explain so much. As an audience, I find it enjoyable how the story progresses, yet it pains me that they can't find happiness (?) no, maybe that is also a form of happiness (?). This is also why many people find to be unpleasant, hoping a much more happy ending. You'll understand once you watch it yourself.
It's already planned to have a bangaihen at later date. I'm hoping a better happy end there!!!
