This manga has been gaining some popularity recently now that it's being translated. And I believe that it's justified, as it has alot of potential, with funny gags and a few jiggles, a cast with diverse personalities and good development between them.
Story 8/10
Here we follow Ichimura Tamito, suffering from several criminal cases in which he is a victim of, to the point where he even considers himself a magnet of those. He gets sent to a class only to find out that it's also made out of criminals and suspects and that it was made to correct their behaviour. This is an interesting premise I
...
must say, and currently I am liking the direction it is taking, with much of the story still left in the dark and it slowly unfolds it's true colours.
Art 7/10
As for the art I don't really have much to say, it's ok it has its moments, but this is something that could get more improvements overtime as the author gets more experience and my score could very well increase. I could also add that I do like the character designs and whatever it is that the author tries to portrait, It's shown clearly with little room for complaints.
Characters 8/10
A strong and solid point of the manga. As I've mentioned before, the cast, in this case, the criminals's class, has a diversity of interesting personalities. As of this point they are still showing all the characters that will be relevant to the story and there has yet to be one that I hate or dislike in any way. Even the main character, despite some denseness towards the girls which I don't find that bothering, is no pussy and usually reacts to the situation in a proactive way which I very much enjoy.
Enjoyment 7/10
I'm quite liking this manga and I think that at this point, after finishing the introduction of the remaining characters, it can go from 2 directions: the first is keeping it's somewhat goofy and comedic style which is ok as long as the author manages to keep it interesting and funny as he does right now and the second one, which I doubt it'll be the case, is for it to get serious, to show story arcs with lots of character development about their past lives as criminals and what could've possibly gotten them into that class. This is the direction I'd love to see, but that doesn't mean that the current one isn't good either.
Overall 7/10
Give it a try, it has alot of potential to become something great. The crazy characters are worth it and just dedicating 2-3 hours of your time you'll have read what's currently in stock and then be able make a decision on your own.

The mafia, a topic that, while restricted to a certain extent with it being a shounen series, could've been so much more, with lots of untapped potential that could bring to a very compelling story. That doesn't necessarily mean it failed to please most of its readers.
Story 6/10
I'll start with the hardest point right away. Reason for this is that I felt very comflicted in rating this and you'll understand why. The story follows Sawada Tsunayoshi, commonly known as Tsuna, a boy who lives with his mother and is considered as below average in everything. Being chosen as the next head of the vongola family,
...
he is lectured at home by Reborn, a pro hitman who is also a baby, in order to become a leader worthy of the title.
The premise is quite simple, as expected of a shounen title. However, the story arcs in the middle of the story are very good and definitely what makes this so compelling to read. Notice how I put emphasis on "middle of the story", that's because the early and the final parts of the manga diminish in comparison to the middle and good story arcs in general. In fact, the manga begins as a gag comedy and it stays that way for a good 50 or so chapters in order to introduce the main characters. Personally, I was not a fan of this approach and it should've been done in a way in which the plot or the world building progresses. As for the ending, while I will not spoil you, those who have read probably understand that it was a very big middle finger to character development to the main character which wasn't reveived very well by most and with good reason.
Art 8/10
Art was good, I don't have any complaints about it actually. It's not the best i've seen, otherwise the score would've been higher, but the fights are clear and some pages, namely the ones in which it's only one panel, are quite detailed, making it a big plus for the manga.
Character 8/10
The strongest point of the series in my opinion. Tsuna's entire family has very distinctive personalities and some of the villains also display something other than sheer arrogance. My only complaint is that a few characters could've used more development, or heck, even have story arcs of their own as to understand certain behaviours they show.
Overall 7/10
I really believe this could've become one of my favourites if it wasn't for the rather repetitive gags and weak plot progression of the beginning and the poor ending that left a bad taste in the mouth. They don't do justice to the actually story which begins 50 or so chapters later, in which some progression finally starts to get shown and we get to understand better of what is going on. With that said and done,I will conclude by saying it's worth putting the effort into getting to that part. If i had to make an analogy that sumarized hitman reborn it would be a sandwitch with the best filling that comes into your mind, but you had to eat it with moldy bread and you tried to endure the taste of the bread in your mouth just so you could have a taste of the filling that came with it.

So this anime used to air here in Portugal with spanish dubs and since there's only one review about it i thought i'd hop in and give my impressions on it too.
Story 6/10
Story revolves around Ryotsu and his shenanigans as a police officer along with his colleagues in order to make easy money or get out of crazy situations he got himself to.
The episodes are mostly standalone, you can start anywhere you want, although i recommend you watch the first batch of episodes (10 -12) so you can get used to the characters.
Art 7/10
I mean it's not something amazing but it fits the show nicely
...
for what it tries to portrait.
Sound 6/10
It didn't make much of an impact to me, but the OP and the ED were quite nice, although they aired them on Spanish.
Character 8/10
Personally i don't care much about the characters. Most of the police officers are pretty generic (rich boy, police chief that always gets mad, etc...) but i absolutely adore Ryotsu and the way he plans his schemes or escapes, and pretty much the reason why most would watch this show I'd say.
Overall 7/10
It's not bad.The way Ryotsu handles most of his situations are what makes this show worth of watching , what i believe would boost this show's popularity is an improvement on the characters's personality to make them less generic. The art and sound fit the show the way they are supposed to so i don't think they need an improvement and sadly the fact that it's mostly standalone stories there's barely any space for some sort of plot progression in the show. The show is indeed catered at a younger demographic but i'd still recommend it if you like animes like sergeant keroro.
