I was one of the guys that watched the anime first. In the end, though it was like a 6-7 and totally forgot about the anime month later, so it was nothing especial. BUT!! Years later I played the games after several recomendations. The games are the best thing ever. If I were rating the game this would be a 10.

So basically what I'm trying to say is: Don't watch this and play the games. The anime is mediocre, don't make a 10 out of 10 experience to be a 5 out of 10 experience.

I ppl always say "game is better anime sucks", but in ... this case it REALLY is on another level. I watched the anime 1st and for years it was just an OK anime on my mind. So it's not like I hate/think the anime is bad cause I played the game. It's just the anime is... just fine.

If you watch this before playing the games, ur killing ur chances to experiment the amazing masterpiece Ace Attorney (AA) is, so pls, start with the games!!
You only have to play the first one to be able to watch this anime!

"Why is the anime so bad?": It's NOT bad, is just that.... not even counting the immersion u get by playing the games and finding the truth by yourself.... the anime is just too short to be as good as the games. The character development, the scenarios, everything just in just 12 episodes of 20~ minutes is not even close to be enough! On anime ... there's just seconds to watch some places, almost no time to watch closely each evidence, each person, each scenario, each crime scene.... no time to think either. That totally ruins Ace Attorney.

If it helps you to trust this random u know nothing about (or not whatever), let me tell you I played....

- AA1,2,4: More than 7 times each start to finish not skiping any case or text.
- AA3: 12 times already, and thinking about replaying it soon (best one!).
- AA5,6: Twice each not skiping anything (Unpopular opinion maybe but almost as good as AA3).
- AA Investigations 1,2: First twice, 2nd once. These are spin offs btw.
- Layton/AA crossover: Just once.

I also played every Android version of the games once.


PD: I know, I'm insane playing a game (specially a visual novel wich has no gameplay-reason to replay it) that many times hahah But that also shows how good AA is and how much I love it, so I really don't want anyone to kill their AA experience by watching first the anime!

First of all, I have to say that pls remember this anime is really old and the art is not that good nowadays, and that you have to be patient with this anime, don't drop it after 2-4 episodes, cause this anime is stupidly good.

After years and hundred of animes, I can say this anime is in my opinion the best anime ever made.

I'm trying to not be subjetive here, even if it doesn't seems like that with that statement.

Characters are extremely well built, their personalities totally match with their actions at every second of the anime, ... they really feel like real persons, and the plot is simply superb, not your tipical plot where something happens but everything is fine anyone of the good guys die and the bad guys lose.
In Code Geass plot, there is a lot of good and bad moments, important good characters die, aswell as important enemies.

Is the best plot I ever seen, with characters matching really nice on it, and a lot of sad situations, a lot of happy situations, and a lot of feelings, since the start till the end, every episode on this anime is super important, and super good and enjoyable to watch.

Look, you don't know me, but I beg you watch this masterpiece, this anime is something everyone on the world should know about, TRUST ME, you will love it, I'm 100% sure you will.

Mi review will have ONE spoiler of episode 3, but even with this spoiler u can watch it perfectly, some friends even started to see the anime cuase I told them this spoiler and they loved it, so... read or not, ur choice.

What makes this anime so good is that it is based on a Main character (Tada Banri) that got an accident and because of that he has Amnesia. Because of the Amnesia, he can't face his old friends/family, cause he think they will spect the old Tada Banri, so he starts a new life alone traveling to an university on Tokio.

Everything is fine ... there, he even got a really nice girlfriend that he loves so much. BUT... he start to remember some things about his old self... he start to remember he loved another girl that is actually on the same university and they both are friends now.

So now he has a internal fight between his old feelings to that girl and his new feelings to his actual girlfriend.

This anime show you how cruel life is... u have someone that u love so much, and he loves u so much too, and... he forget u cause an accident. He forget the feelings and bond u both created... and u remember everything.

It breaks my heart so much dude... and that's why this anime is so good.

PD: Sorry if my english wasn't the best, but I just felt like writing a review for this anime cause I loved it.
