Avengers Assemble in a nutshell, but with nothing to it and no breaktrough at all. It feels like they just gathered all the characters from every season for the sake of something grand ???. The airtime distribution is done poorly, and the ending is like... huh ? What even was that ?

Animation (8/10) – Still good as usual. The battle scenes are grand, but I prefer the first season more.

Score (9/10) – Really great. Fits the story perfectly and blends in well.

Story (5/10) – This season shifts airtime back and forth between the virtual world and the real world, which breaks immersion at times. The ...

Absolutely amazing! Grand and spectacular literally reminds me of watching LOTR like we have orcs, goblins and Sauron-like character LOL

The visuals and animation quality have improved so much.

The soundtrack is just perfect. The score is even better than the first two seasons, it gives a very Yuki Kajiura's vibe with a tint of medieval era music but with a grand epicness.

As for the story, there isn’t much to it. Most of it is driven by the battles between characters which are really fun to watch.

This is definitely an arc I highly recommend, just perfect after Alicization.

Recommended to watch this before entering the Alicization arc because it flows directly into it.

The animation is much smoother than the 1/2 season plus the story presents the AR game in an interesting way, breaking away from the usual VR setting that that the main arc does. The movie connects well with the anime’s storyline right after the 2nd season.

However, the character development are somewhat disappointed and the motives of the villain felt pretty forgettable. Still the animation quality is enjoyable with a plus side that this movie features a really nice vocal track. In summary, still recommend to watch this before you watch ...

Back to where it should have been !!!

It was so much fun and finally we got a one full big arc after the first and second seasons which had some filler episodes or alternated arcs. To be honest at first I thought it was a bit slow but halfway through the momentum kept building up and then ended on a very high and heroic note.

Story (8/10) - evern though it was a little bit confused at first on how the whole 'alicization' concept (?) worked, viewers got used to the terms as the story progressed. It was nice and interesting concept though as it set ...

Arc 1: Phantom Bullet (8/10) – Very action-packed with interesting world-building, especially for fans of the cyberpunk genre. By far the most entertaining arc.

Arc 2: Calibur (2/10) – Typical filler episodes that don't seem to contribute to the main storyline. It feels as though it just appears randomly out of nowhere.

Arc 3: Mother's Rosario (7/10) – Another side story, but a good one! Great character development, especially for Asuna. The only downside is that I only got hooked in the last 3 episodes; before that, it had a strong filler episode vibe. However, it’s definitely worth watching.

Overall, the story doesn’t connect well between arcs, and ...

Mixed Feelings
I just rewatched it after 12 years since the first time I saw it, and I found that it wasn't as fun as when I watched it as a kid. However, I still rate it highly in terms of animation quality and the score by Yuki Kajiura, which really enhances the emotional atmosphere of the anime.

As for the story, both arcs feel a bit slow. The first arc, Aincrad, starts off interesting, but there are many filler episodes that don’t contribute much to character development. I was expecting more action and intensity from this arc, especially since it's the opening arc.

The second arc, Fairy Dance, ...
