Demon Slayer is without a doubt one of the most popular anime series at the moment, if not THE most popular. And it’s really easy to see why, the fight scenes are absolutely breathtaking, the music is incredible, the animation is vibrant and smooth, & to combat the violent serious story, there is surprisingly a ton of humor that works most of the time. But I think what makes this series so popular is the heart at the center of this story, a boy who has lost everything except his little sister, and he will do anything to save her 💖 That’s what this series ... is really about, and I think the incredibly impactful first episode that will make anyone cry sold everyone on the story immediately. I would recommend this to you if you are ok with humor in a dark story, have siblings, or love well choreographed (and long) fight scenes. I would not recommend it if you view the humor as distracting or clashing with the tone, dislike fight scenes, or are easily disturbed by some grotesque demon character designs.

The Good!!~
As already mentioned the music, fight scenes, animation, heart, all that is great about the show. To be more specific, Tanjiro is seriously such a great character. Yes he loves his sister, which is obvious, but what makes him so likeable is that he loves everyone. He has great manners, always wanting to help those around him, and has sympathy for even the demons. And on top of that, he has an undying motivation to become a great demon slayer, he is seriously one of the most loveable main characters I’ve seen in an anime~ 💕 Another great character that I was not expecting to love was Zenitsu. Yes he is a giant coward who screams constantly but he has such amazing power that I won’t spoil the cause of, but trust me his combat scenes are incredible and really made me root for this character!

The Bad…;
Sadly if we are gonna talk about the bad, we also have to talk about Zenitsu again 😂😅 He can be very annoying to many viewers, very loud and cowardly character who has a weird thing for girls, so if his skills as a fighter don’t sell you on his character like me, be warned. There are also very weird and specific abilities in this show, it’s very strange. Tanjiro has an insanely inhuman sense of smell & this show pulls such amazing leaps of logic akin to “i moved my internal organs so i wouldn’t die!”. It’s pretty ridiculous & silly. I don’t mind it that much, but just in case it bothers you, you’ve been warned again.

This is the first anime series that I ever watched in full, which I’m sure surprises no one :p This is a ton of peoples first anime, and I’m really glad that it has that status, it’s very deserving. Death Note has an incredibly interesting story that has you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Even if you’ve already seen it before, you find yourself unable to take your eyes off the screen. I would recommend it to you if you like detective shows that feel like they were written by a genius, creepy but not horror, or want to be in ... the know about top anime series (trust me, if you haven’t seen this, you are going to hear “OMG YOU’VE NEVER SEEN DEATH NOTE?” many times, it really is that popular). I would not recommend it to you if you get scared easily, are triggered by several death scenarios, or dislike evil main characters.

The Good!!~
The absolute best aspect of this show to me is everyone trying to figure out Kira’s identity~ Even though you know exactly who it is, it feels like you are solving the mystery right alongside them. L is obviously a stand out, him being my and many others favourite character because of his intellect, quirks, and the biggest threat Kira faces. Even though we are watching from Light’s perspective for most of the show, you absolutely despise him but not in a way that makes the show bad. It just makes you root for L & the others more. Ryuk the shinigami is also a great comic relief! His role in the show is so interesting since no one can see him unless they touch the book, it leads to some great moments~

The Bad…;
Personally, I really hate the second intro 😣 The first one isn’t that great either, but it definitely grows on you unlike the second, at least in my case. But the number 1 worst thing about this show is something I don’t wanna spoil, but when it happens, the entire mood and vibe of the show shifts. So definitely, at least in my case, the first half of the show is superior and I think the show went on a big longer than it should’ve.

Oshi No Ko is an anime with a lot going on. I honestly feel it’s difficult to talk about without spoilers but I’ll try. The best thing about it (that I feel is fairly obvious) is the art style. It’s absolutely gorgeous, particularly the eyes of the characters, and not just the ones with stars in them like Ai. I constantly found myself admiring the art in every episode. The story is very interesting and has a lot of potential that I feel has not been shown to us yet. I’m eagerly awaiting season 2 so we can dive deeper into these plot lines. I ... would recommend this to you if you like beautiful art, japanese idols, idol or mystery shows, or morally grey main characters.

The Good!!~
As previously mentioned, the art is amazing~ I also enjoyed the story of Ruby’s idol group very much and I’m really excited to see more from them! She has two classmates that interest me and I’m hoping to see more of them in the future!

The Bad…;
I wasn’t as interested in Aqua’s main story as much as Ruby’s (however i did enjoy everything with Love Now), maybe it’s because it hasn’t gone as deep as it can go yet. I also find Aqua’s relationship with Ai to be… disturbing, which I think is the intended reaction. Overall I just prefer Ruby > Aqua, despite Aqua being more of a main character

Just finished my first Pretty Cure season!!~ 💕 This show is really funny & heartwarming, it even made me feel nostalgic even though I never watched it when I was younger. The music was incredibly catchy and I never got tired of listening to the intro & outro. I would recommend this to you if you like early 2000’s anime/magical girl shows, or if you like Precure and want to see how the franchise began/start watching from the beginning. I would not recommend it if you are annoyed by repetition or are looking for a deep story or fantastic villains.

The Good!!~
Nagisa & Honoka’s friendship was incredibly genuine and you can feel their bond grow throughout the show. I also loved their relationships with their fairies, Mepple & Mipple~ They grew gradually as well and the real stand-out was with Nagisa & Mepple who have some pretty emotional moments with each other in later episodes. I also loved Wisdom the Stone Keeper and thought the Garden Of Light was designed beautifully. Though the villains weren’t great, I absolutely loved Kiriya for reasons I won’t spoil 💖 The magical items (Mepple & Mipple’s phone case thingies) were gorgeous and I want one incredibly badly 🥺💕 Overall, I prefer the first half storyline to the second.

The Bad…;
Nagisa has a really cute relationship with Fujipi that sadly didn’t go as far as I would’ve liked. Crossing my fingers for Max Heart? 🤞 A big issue I had for this show was the girls powers. I don’t mind the repetitive nature of every episode or that the girls are powerless alone, but I felt that they were lacking in strength for many episodes. They have only one attack (Marble Screw) for the first half of the series and while they get another one later on, I just would’ve preferred their attacks to have more variety 😞 Porun was also a bit irritating despite being adorable, and quickly made me realize I was judging Mepple too harshly~ and lastly, the villains were really weak. Particularly in the second half of the show, I actually dreaded their appearance in every episode.
