Hmmmm....
This is my first time writing a review so bear with me, I guess. I'm just... gonna start with the review. *awkward moment intensifies*
Btw, the scores are gonna be listed at the end so if you wanna check that out instead of reading the review I put my blood and sweat into making, go ahead.
The Main part of any show is, in my opinion, the story. When I first started watching, it kinda reminded me of 'Code Geass: Akito the Exiled' which I hated. The concept of AtE is basically the same as 'Code Geass' but the way they executed the show was just stupid.

So, I just watched the show expecting another bad CG rip-off. But also as a time pass because... im a loner... *sobs in corner*. Anyway, I was honestly surprised later on. The concept of the story still reminds me of CG but the way they executed it was actually pretty great. The plot got better and better by the end. I rate it a 7 cuz the show's still on its 1st cour, and there isn't nearly enough plot points to actually give it an 8 or 9. We'll see how it fares by the end (Assuming I stick around till then. Anything can happen. Just saying).
I just realized on writing this review that I usually watch most animes that aired recently, based on which studio is animating it. This was done by A-1 Pictures, which did SAO and Erased and Your Lie in April and... (This went on for hours so just don't bother.) Anyway, I expected the show to look great and it did for the most part. There were a few character inconsistencies here and there, which didn't bother me but it didn't not bother me either. The show's use of CGI was actually pretty good. It blended in really well to their 2d backgrounds. But there were times when the CGI didn't look really well done.
Its Hiroyuki Sawano. So, I don't have any complaints on the osts. Put this dude on shows which focuses on war and he does magic. The Voice actors for the most part were pretty good and well in sync with the movements. Some voice actors didn't really feel like the right voice to the character they voice and that's about it.
Another downside to the show so far is the characters. Again, I'm rating this based only on the 1st cour and I'll update it if i review the next cour. The characters so far have gotten low to no character developments. Some characters were straight up infuriating to watch because of how they acted and if I say anything more, it's considered a spoiler so... I'm leaving it there. But then there are times when the characters show they have a dark side or a nice side to them, so my frustration went down a bit.
All in all, I definitely enjoyed the show. And I'd recommend the show to everyone who's not a mecha-hater. (I am a Mecha hater btw. I watched it cuz I heard people say the show's story's pretty good). The Show has its upsides and downsides like every show but it's still a pretty good watch.
