lonely girl isn't anything special really. it's story is simple, the art is cute, and overall it's just really adorable. If you are looking for something a bit more mature, maybe pass on lonley girl. But if you like cute yuri fluff then read this for sure. lonely Girl doesn't need to have the most interesting story and in depth character arcs. It's straight up tooth rotting and im ok with that! The main characters are writen well and even the side characters get some action. I highly recommend this title for anyone who just wants to read
...
a short and sweat yuri romance with some light drama. nothing too serious but the sugar content here.

alrighty, lets get one thing straight. this manga isn't about bullying. sure, sometimes it takes the gag a bit far but what we are looking at here is simply an over exaggeration of a girl who has no idea how to express her emotions. now you might be saying "well, that sounds like a bully to me" and while you aren't wrong, its also important to note that senpai likes having her around despite this, whether he's into being degraded or is just happy to have made a friend. (slight spoilers ahead, but i wont reveal and explicit details though, just general information) all
...
of that being said, Nagatoro as a character and the manga itself are much like a sour patch kid. what starts out as relentless bullying and teasing slowly begins to unfold into friendship and even something more as the manga progresses. the first 5 volumes have the same formula for each chapter: senpai is drawing in the art room and Nagatoro comes barging in to mess with him. occasionally though, we get to see her true colors through the smug face and sour exterior. a bit of sweetness oozes out and the two are left at a standstill until she regathers her composure and really goes in for the kill. this goes on pretty much unchanged until the culture festival arc in 6th volume. This is when the story truly begins to take its shape as a rom-com. There are some high stakes and the two are able to work through their interesting relationship to achieve their shared goals, understand each other more, and also grow a lot closer. After this, everything changes. at first i was not happy. i missed the simple comedy routine with subtle romantic undertones. But i kept reading. And oh boy am I glad i did! the 7th volume seems to have a bit of an identity crisis, but from volume 8 and on this manga is sweetness overload. i cant say much as im only on volume 9 myself but i can say its totally worth the read if you are into slow burn "romance". i put romance in quotes because everything about this manga is unconventional when compared to other works in the genre. I don't expect the two to kiss any time soon lol but we are definitely working towards a mutual respect and understanding, which is honestly the strongest kind of love there is.

i'll start by saying i loved this series. but like all media, certain things are liked by certain people. not everyone is going to agree on one thing, because different people like different things. that being said, definitely watch this if you are looking for a super wholesome show about an unlikely friendship that also happens to have a lot of echi fanservice. it manages to be surprisingly balanced. there is an equal amount of heartwarming emotional scenes as there are risky panty shots and i personally could not stop watching. this show manages to somehow encompass the energy of

both a tooth rotting rom com and a barely safe for work doujin . so if thats what you are into, I highly recommend. and this is without mentioning how damn gorgeous this show is from an artistic standpoint. sure it has its budget saving, flat boring scenes, like every echi slice of life has. But those are heavily outshined by everything else. the animation is so smooth it almost looks cgi, and you can really tell where the animators and editors spent their time.

i'll give it a between an 8 and a 9 with some definite mixed feelings. i cant say i recommend this to everyone, just because of how damn hard it is to watch towards the end. its not light hearted in the slightest. this is 2 straight hours of fast and hard plot penetration. death and gore and profanity included. this show was honestly disturbing in a way that left me wanting more. all of that considered, my previous score of 8-9 was deducted to a 5 or 6 in terms of recommendation. because, honestly this

show is an entertaining watch. But its also just as heart wrenchingly painful to watch. if you can handle raunchy and raw story telling that is equivalent to getting shanked in prison then by all means hop on the hype train. but if not, no worries. just because everyone and their youtuber mom is raving about cyberpunk doesn't mean you have to be into it too. it honestly isn't for everyone

Ok, this is my first review so uhh, yeah.. hope this is helpful!!
Story: 9/10
I personally really enjoyed main story of kiznaiver. It wasn't too much/ too overbearing, and was easy to follow. I found myself drawn to the next episode, one after the other, on a search for answers and pieces to the puzzle. For me, the story was one of this anime's strongest points!
Art: 8/10
As for the art, I thought it was great as well. The colors and style used was enjoyable to watch and I feel the art really brought the characters to life. All of the characters
...
were very distinct in their designs, from hair, to face shape, physique, and their clothing style. I really liked the eyes, especially Katzuhiras', despite them being blank and emotionless the whole time lol!!
Sound: 10/10
Well, considering I'm listening to the soundtrack as I write this review I'd say it was pretty darn good!! The theme song was amazing and is probably one of my favorites, as well as the end song!! as for the OST, it was very distinct throughout the anime. I found myself identifying reoccurring songs in relation to the situations in each episode, which was nice. For the most part, the background music stuck out when it had to during particularly emotional and intense scenes as well as in the quirky and funny ones. Overall, the music was one of my favorite things about this anime!!
Character: 7/10
Now, don't get me wrong, the characters in this anime are some of my favorites but some of them were missing something. To be quite honest, I loved all 7 of the kiznaivers, but while some were given loads of arc and development, some were just neglected in comparison.. I blame this on the amount of episodes, as 12 is not nearly enough for plot and and equal development of 7 individuals. Also, I guess I'd rather have a few VERY well rounded characters and good plot than a bunch of half assed ones, so in my opinion, the creator did their best with what they were given.
Enjoyment: 10/10
This section should be rather simple, as every episode left me wanting more. I liked how the pieces to the overall plot sort of fell into place overtime, and watching the characters in the situations and predicaments they were thrown into was rather enjoyable for me. Not saying their pain and emotional suffering was "enjoyable" per say, as it was quite heart wrenching at times, but this anime made be feel some strong emotions on this side of the screen, and in my book that counts as enjoyable. I will pretty much sell my soul to any sort of content that makes me feel emotionally connected to fictional worlds and characters, being the expert escapist that i am!!
Overall: 9/10
overall, Kiznaiver was probably one of my favorite animes' to date. Great story, awesome soundtrack, lovable characters, and lots of eye catching art!! I would 100% recommend this to anyone and I'll probably be watching it again in the near future!!
