I never thought I would say this.. but I’m writing a review. This is simply to point out one of the best fucking animes I have ever seen.
Like I am not kidding - simply put it was the story that awe’d me, from the start of the first season. The mild idea that the humanity was petrified into stones for 3-whole-millenniums and at one point they awakened, and have to start crafting the techology and the buildings back is so messed up. But it gets you hooked up, since it’s hell of a journey to take a ride on!
But I’m not gonna talk about
...
the first season, considering I AM writing a review under Dr. Stone : Stone Wars at this time. I have to speak up of the greatness and the betterness of the second season, as it suits my interests better - the conflict and the complexity of things.
As it is obvious from the first season: Senku and Tsukasa are at war, or rather at an disagreement. Those emotions and misunderstandings of both sides unveil in this Stone Wars arc, it totally heats up things for the characters. The conditions of topics get more serious - as do Senkus projects, that’s why everyone is here for! We get to see more ideas, more formulas etc.
To talk about the point of views of both sides - I may have to side with Senku’s ideal of the world. Everyone deserves a second chance, even if they are messed up in their own way. No matter the person - they may have been cruel, but everyone changes at some points. Well there’s my opinion on their ideals.
Ofcourse with a new season, there will be more backstories, more emotions and the roots of the story of why that and why this - the complexity of the story tells us what we don’t know and pulls a big plot twist on us. That gives the anime more depth to live out for and gives us more purpose to follow this story along. I won’t be diving into the details because that may attract the urge to drag out the spoilers to prove my points.
Also I gotta credit the amazing OPs and EDs, what gave a good sound between the clips of each episode. Honestly living for the catchy songs and visuals, no matter who says that it may be bad, you just gotta see the music and the visuals in it’s own light. Ofcourse I’m not saying to not voice your opinions, as I’m displaying one myself.
I gotta mention that I also have never even realized that there’s music playing in the background in any anime, since I am focusing on the dialogue all the time, but as long as it keeps making the anime more watchable - I appreaciate it.
The animation is top-notch (althought I still wouldn’t have rated it any differently since I prefer plot to animation technique). The characters seem fine and don’t have any problems. I am confidently rating this 10.
Now, I am very against the idea of writing essays voluntarily (flashbacks to school). I am not very good at voicing my opinion or using the hard words so go easy on me for this chunk of paragraphs. Thank you!
