Nana and Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (Kaze) are similar in their character development and their drama. The characters are given vivid, realistic backstories. And while Nana is about getting to the top of music/showbiz, Kaze is about being in the top 10 to win the biggest running competition in Japan. Nana is a Josei (for women) and Kaze is more is more for boys. But it's refreshing how the characters are older. In Nana, they're out of school and Kaze is college. The drama is very heavy in both and the scenes are pretty realistic as well as the actions and motivations of the characters. There is a lot of development that is done in both shows and they have such a wistful feeling at the end of the later episodes.

Same art style and characters have some similarities as they're from the same studio. However, the difference in the focus in the type of character. Kaze has a Kageyama figure and Sawamura (Daichi) -like captain figure who are the main focus. There is a similar drive by characters to be in the top. Characters get their backstories, development, comic relief. There are rival schools, flaws and growth. Best of all Kaze is a college anime (FINALLY!) and draws on the incredible experience of competition on that higher level. So definitely check out one if you have seen the other!

Both shows have a similar energy. and while Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (KTF) is a sports anime and Boku no Hero Academia (BHA) is a superpower anime, they both are strong shounen anime. Characters that aren't where they want to be build themselves up. The enjoyment level, the mindset of the characters, and the drive to succeed are common themes while both anime's do it completely separate ways. If you enjoyed the type of character development in KTF, you'll certainly enjoy the adventure and characters in BHA.

Both shows have a similar feel and combat scenes. There are people who fight those who would otherwise hurt the world. World Trigger deals with aliens while Boku no Hero Academia deals with criminals. The main protagonists grow in a similar way and learn to fight. Both main characters are successful because of their strategy and wit. If you like one, you will most likely like the other. In Boku no Hero Academia, the main character works to reach the potential of his strength whereas for World Trigger the main character does so even as you don't see it immediately. Both of them grow to save the world in their own way.
