They both tell the story of mature, realistic romances. The female leads in each are upbeat, mischievous in a cute way and assertive, while the male ones are rather quiet. The overall atmosphere of the series is also very similar.

Guess from which story this is the plot outline: They marry out of convenience, and while being married, they fall for each other. Guessed it? You were right, because it's from both series. Happi Mari is a lot longer though.

(Recommendation for the last side story (First Love) in Bijin Kakumei) They basically have the same blueprint: strong girl who protects the other girls in her school against the guys. By some coincidence, she gets to know another good looking guy who is different from the rest. Notwithstanding her protests, he comes to save her. This causes her to fall in love with him. Maid-sama is a lot longer though.
