Both involve bizarre aliens interfering on Earth, both have slapstick science fiction comedy, and both are just plain fun to read. Highly recommend both of them.

The main similarity between these two is the bizarre aliens (though there's only one alien in "Cocktail Ponytail") and slapstick science fiction comedy. Both are a good read and a good escape from reality.

Both are music videos featuring work by people who have worked for Studio Ghibli. Both leave you with a satisfied feeling after viewing. These two are some of the best music videos out there, I believe.

Both of these parodies are done by AIC and Movic, the creators of the shows involved in the parodies (no connection otherwise). If you like super deformed characters, or just plain silliness, these shows are for you.

This is the original traveling samurai adventure. This series is based on the same stories as the "Zatoichi" blind samurai live action film series. If you like samurai adventure, this is an excellent choice.

Both are by the same artist. Simple as that. If you like Mikimoto, especially the shorts at the end of each volume of "Trash", you'll like these stories.

When I first read "Shugo Getten", I couldn't help but notice the similarities. Shaorin is the goddess who comes to save Tasuke from his loneliness (his parents are always off on one international trip or another). Shaorin's rival goddess is Luan, who is the equivalent (in mannerisms and attitude, anyway) of Urd. The story is very cute, and most anyone who likes this series will like "Oh My Goddess!" (if they haven't already read it).
