THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
What I hate about MAL reviews about MagiReco is that most users give it a 9-10 (because of Madoka's and Studio SHAFT's reputation duh) or a 1-2 because they think it's underwhelming and too similar to a mobile game. I believe the truth lies in the middle and this season of MagiReco objectively deserves a 7. I've never played the game so I'm only reviewing what this anime offered us.
Was this season a masterpiece? Absolutely not. I'm not sure I can summarize what happened because I barely remember anything other than the finale. We had a lot of
...
expository dialogue about new rules and Doppels and Connect and shadows but the concepts still feel alien to me. I remember checking the forum discussions after every episode and seeing a lot of anime-onlies comment stuff like "what did I just watch", "I don't understand what's going on". I was relieved to see I wasn't dumb and I wasn't the only one confused but that just means this anime was not good at explaining things.
The character designs are cute and pleasant to look at - however, a lot of animation errors were noticeable (especially in the last three episodes). Maybe the animators were rushed and had a tight schedule, but still this took away from my enjoyment. If you have no smooth animation and no plot, then what's the point of watching an anime? A lot of fans in these reviews love pretending that the flashes of style are indicators of good animation but actually the fights make no sense if you try following them through. You see a character taking her weapons out, you hear a big explosion, and then you see them falling down and then you see their hair and then their eye. But you have no idea what's going on in the fight. Very messy sakuga, if it can be considered as such, but it does give the impression of a high quality fight scene to the untrained eye who doesn't pay attention to what's going on.
While I'm glad this season had a somewhat happy ending, I have to admit it was quite cliche and the girls managed to save the day with the power of friendship. Tsuruno being weak and pretending to be strong is not a new thing at all; in fact, Mami Tomoe had the same problem in the original 2011 TV series. "I'm so weak but I have to hide it from the others. I have to be strong, no matter what." We all know countless anime characters who share these same traits.
Also... remember Ui's disapperance? Well, this season gave us nothing in regards to her. You better watch the third season to know what has happened to her. Personally I won't. My journey with MagiReco ends here.

Among the reviews that call this manga a 'masterpiece' there's my review that gives it an 8/10.
You might think 'Why? What's wrong with it?'
First of all, originality. This manga is the same as Orange with a mix of Koi to Uso in my opinion. People compare it to 'Your Lie in April' too, but since I've never read/watched that I can't speak about it.
The characters aren't that interesting. The main character is anonymous and his multiple nicknames change after each chapter. You don't know if you should call him 'glasses-kun', 'mr. friendly' or 'mr. invisible'. He is a beta male and even though he is
...
a bit relatable, he's the same as many other main characters that are always monotone and bored in general.
The main girl suffers from cancer and she'll die soon, but she always smiles. Don't get me wrong, I don't need 100% despair but I want realistic reactions. There are some times she seems serious but then she laughs it off and that just got on my nerves!
What I find horrible is that the main girl wants to do activities before dying such as: sleeping in a hotel room with another guy (in the same bed), lying to her parents, drinking alcohol etc. Also there was a scene in which she told the guy that she wanted to do 'naughty stuff with him'. A real sick girl wouldn't be that careless unless she was stupid.
Basically, the title itself is horrendous.
As for the art, it's quite good and clear. It deserves a 10/10.
So, should you read Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai?
If you like death/stories that will make you cry/romance, then yes.
But if you hate reading about a teenage girl doing dangerous stuff and laughing off a serious matter & you want realism, then skip this. Read Tokidoki instead.

Hello there! As always, my review is quite short so if you hate reading long reviews with countless paragraphs and sentences, you're welcome!
I love watching SoL anime and I was hyped for Just Because!. But the first episode was very bad, slow and boring. Still that shouldn't make you drop it, the anime becomes sadder as episodes go by.
I started watching this anime, because the moment I'm writing this, I am in my senior year of high school (or 12th grade). I wanted to get the same feels a high school student experiences when taking an entrance exam and focusing on his/her studies.
There are several
...
scenes with studying/worrying about the future, but still this is mostly a romantic anime. The main problem is which of the girls will the MC choose and as you may know, this started a war in the fandom. (People were either #TeamKomiya or #TeamNatsumi)
Still, Komiya and Natsumi have both their flaws and disadvantages.
Komiya is a girl that loves taking pictures, but she often gets in trouble for taking pictures of strangers. She is outgoing, but also very nosy. As for Natsumi she likes studying, but she gets salty and jealous sometimes.
One of the best scenes was when Puta (a cat) sent a message with its paw. I think everyone needs a cat like that to text their crush...
I give this anime a 8/10, the animation is great, the Opening and Ending are so melancholic (I love them both), but the story is not that great. I expected something else besides romantic drama. Also, if a Dub comes out, watch that. The subtitles are pretty messed up. I am still thankful for the one that translated this anime, but they could have done a much better job, smh.
A much better version of this is called Tsuki ga Kirei, and I suggest you watch that first (if you haven't)
