Ok guys are the story lines similar? Kinda, a big army vs a little army. Are the settings the same? No, one is medieval and the other is futuristic. But what realy makes these series similar are the characters. Griffith=Lelouch because they are the tactitian and guts=Suzaku because they are the soldier. Both have similar plots of trust issues, romantic tension, glorified battle scenes, and commanders trying to get revenge and rule the world. If code geass fans pick up berserk skip the first episode, watch it last. and berserk fans try to stay with the main characters and dont pay attention to the school students.

...then you might like Gungrave add

These both deal with a troubled hero who want to protect specific people not matter what the cost. Both animes are gritty and dark with no hope that people with power could ever be good. If you like the fact that a hero is going up against impossible odds to settle the score than either Gungrave or Speed Grapher is the anime for you.
