King's Maker (Manga) add
Spoiler
9/10

First, about chapter 24, and that other review. *Spoiler*
Shin comes out of the chambers of the pedophilic king and tells Wolfgang about it. At least it looks like it ad that chapter has no dialogue at all. Wolfgang then gives him a kissing mark. I think everyone was furious about the timing and whys they add romance at a moment like this. But it becomes clear that this was part of Shins plan to get thrown out of the chambers and lose his title as "a kings child". So please dont get discouraged by this as it was not meant to be a downplay of ...

A 4-year oId boy moves into an apartment by himself. The neighbors befriend (sorta adopt) him and during his daily adventures we learn about his past.

I work in child/youth care, and while 4 years old is a bit extreme (5-6 would have been better), it was very realistic in the emotional sense. The interactions, too. The creator put much thought, effort and emotion into this and you can feel that.

Not just Kotaro, but the other people all got their moments. The episodic subplots and background characters were just as interesting and really had you feel with- and like them.

The art wasn't really special but ...

A show about a group of conmen, their individual traumas and 4 cases related to each one.

I'll start with the good things. The cases and subplots were mostly interesting and the show overall entertaining. Each case was related to one of the four main characters' pasts and the scams were smart and thought through. The villains were really hateable so you actually rooted for the team, especially for Makoto.
The music was amazing and fitting, the scenery colorful and pretty and the cast very individual.

Now I got two things that ruined it for me sorta. (Read after watching)

1. Abbie's case. Abbie is a traumatized, orphaned Iraqi ...

One of the few shows i truly, genuinely consider perfect. Even with its imperfections.

A mix of genres, something for everyone, and amazingly done too. Supernural, comedy, horror, slice of life, mystery, action... Overall you'd think its for kids, but theres episode definitely aimed at older people, with topics like toxic internet presence, crime, abuse, stalking, colonization and land theft, racism and much more. The art is very individual, fitting each character and story.

Its mostly episodic, theres a deeper storyline in the background. You could compare it to MP100 or YYH, if you liked those, youd probably like GNK. Please give it a try, its ...

7 Seeds (Manga) add
Survival, post apocalypse mystery with some horror, comedy, romance and drama. And all of it done well, with complex and heavy topics discussed in a relatable way.
Its really something out of the ordinary, the story develops well and the mysteries are gripping and smart with aspects of science but understandable.
Simple art, but strong expressions and amazing sceneries.

Individual and interesting characters with thrilling, emotional and crazy backstories but also just regular people like us, with (mostly) realistic reactions.
Each arc tops the last and it never gets boring.

Please dont get discouraged in the beginning or spoiler yourself!!
Theres an unfinished netflix anime but its only watchable if ...

7 Seeds (Anime) add
If you didn't read the manga, it's good. with more budget, it could've been a lot more but its okay. not really comparable to the manga quality-wise, but i still enjoyed it.
amazing ost, good cinematography and great voice acting. loveable, individual characters with interesting backstories and moments of all genres, with complex topics.
so if you wanna watch it, first watch, then read the manga, otherwise it isn't really worth it..
7/10

"set in a post-apocalyptic future, long enough after a meteorite hits earth that new species have evolved, '7 seeds' follows the struggles of five groups of young adults to survive after they are revived from ...

Kekkai Sensen (Anime) add
Many people disliked the anime-only subplot, but I enjoyed it. It made it easier to stay focused, and both Black and White were nice characters.

Generally the anime isnt anything really special, but its fun. The soundtrack is AMAZING (i gave a 10 score for sound but i dont think they actually mean the music. well whatever), the characters are very likeable and individual, the character designs are cool and creative and the episodic stories are interesting and enjoyable. Theres humor, emotion, some good ol' splatter too. No fan service which is like a rarity i gratefully accept. I didnt understand some stuff but that didn't ...
