Maybe this review is a bit of a spoiler (only explains the difference with the anime adaptation)

First about the Story: 10/10
Honestly, I've seen the whole anime from the first season to Tokyo Ghoul Re first and feel that many things are not explained in detail. And when reading this manga makes the story better than the anime.

About Character Design: 8.5/10
As for the character designs, it's still pretty good for the 2011 manga, and the anime has improved.

Tokyo Ghoul impressed me with the development of the main character from zero to hero, to protect his comrades with solid determination and not naivety. It started with Kaneki ... Ken, a nerdy college student who became interested in a beautiful girl he met at Anteiku (coffee shop) it turned out that he was a Ghoul and unfortunately it turned out that the girl intended to eat Kaneki, he survived because an iron fell on the ghoul. that however Kaneki was critical. A doctor saved him by replacing Kaneki's organs with the girl's ghoul organs. kaneki managed to survive but became a half-ghoul which made him have to eat human flesh because ghouls can't eat human food. He was devastated because he didn't want to be a ghoul but he couldn't contain his hunger and resigned himself to the situation.

The author Ishida Sui tells the main character who used to be a nerd to have several friends whose relationships are explained in detail without any plot holes like in the anime. Even the side characters are well-developed and have stories about their past.

Main Character Development from being very quiet to being ambitious to protect his friends despite having to sacrifice himself and even though his goal of protecting him is not as naive as most other manga.

If you've watched the anime and feel something is incomplete, reading this will be worth it.
Maybe the weakness is that there are too many side character names with nicknames that are difficult to remember.

Just a quick review. I think the title with a doujin word refers to a doujin like full of fanservice, but this spin off manga doesn't show much fanservice.

I think from the lack of fanservice, it's not quite right to call it a doujin.

The whole story in the spin off this time in my opinion is like the main manga which is filled with comedy with a bit of fanservice (which is getting less and less). For the character design itself, it's good not to change.

Overall, I think this spin off manga is quite interesting to read in terms of a simple story, although not ... much different from the original manga.
