Aizawa-sensei did nothing wrong! As a victim of bullying and some other types of abuse, I wish I had a reliable professor or at least a good friend back in the day. Sadly, that wasn't the case for me. In my case, even the professors were at it. So, while I don't approve of all that was shown there, I think it was still a good story.
To give you some context, I've been bullied in different periods of my life and, with time, I figured out how to make things work. I was eventually able to make it stop but, of course, it wasn't easy.
...
I remember the worst incidents happened back in high school.
I was new at that school (which was a bad thing for some reason, apparently no one, including the professors, liked new kids there) and I guess I made a stupid comment or something on my first day? Long story short, this one guy picked on me and all went to hell since then.
The guy was the leader of the bullies pack and made sure I knew he hated me. I tried to fight back several times, but it backfired. One day he was at it during class, a teacher was watching the whole while it happened, but I was one of the new girls right? so she didn't care. The principal of the school (an old lady) came in, to supervise or something? saw the whole thing and still, did nothing, it was until I insulted the guy that they decided it was enough, and they took ME out of the class after some public humiliation from their part. Later, the principal asked what my problem was and that if I'd forgotten how girls should behave and I was like, are you for real??
So, things continued and many more incidents like that one happened. One day, I forgot a book when we moved classrooms and I went back to get it and, guess what? he was alone in the classroom and.... I'll skip the details, yes, he SAed me and even threatened me after that. When things were just too much for me, this other girl approached and asked what happened and, well, she told me he did the same to her on a different occasion so, we decided to report it to the principal (yes, that same old bitch). So, we went to her, told her the whole thing and all she said with a smirk was "are you sure about what you just said? this are some serious accusations". Of course, the punishment was mild. They suspended him for 1 or 2 days, covered up the whole situation and branded us as sluts, yep, that's how things in not super advanced countries work!
Anyways, from then on, things kind of like stopped with that guy but then, some other groups decided to pick on me and well... it really was over until I graduated. I was an honor student (idk how you call it in other countries) but yeah, even with all that I managed to keep having very good grades, I was aiming for a scholarship after all. But, again, same old bitch made it so I didn't get any of that. I don't even appear in the graduation photo of my own class, not that I wanted to be there but, you get an idea.
So back to the manga, I know it is fiction, but it took me back to those stupid days and, while I was reading it I was thinking... fuck, I wish someone would've done something to stop that whole mess. Unfortunately, real life sucks.
So, as Aizawa-sensei did in his own way, I'll tell you this from my own experience. Whenever you have the chance to fight back, DO IT. Often times in life, you are on your own. If you see someone in trouble, say or do something. Believe me, that person will be very grateful if you do! So yeah, bullying will never stop if we don't do something about it.

I almost cried reading the last chapters, this one hits hard if you're struggling in life.
I loved the "Stop overthinking everything for once and get a feel for it. Cast aside your existential crisis" part. Maybe for some it will sound cheesy, cliché or whatever, but as someone that has gone though some real crazy stuff in life, I can assure you those words are like a wake up call, just what some of us need to hear but refuse to with all of ourselves.
Sometimes you just can't help but overthink everything, you were raised like that, life taught you some insane lessons,
...
anxiety is eating you at every single minute, your stress level is through the roof, people is shit and let's not even mention money... and, in the middle of all that, is right where you are all alone just not knowing what to do, just feeling lost and confused.
Then the "Ask yourself this. What do you really want to do?" part follows, beautiful line in my opinion. Exactly where I miss the point every single time, precisely the stage where many of us are stuck in. I don't know what I want in life yet, 29 long years I've lived in this planet unsure on what to do next and honestly speaking, I'm tired of it, of all of what "life" involves. I remember there was a moment in time where I felt like I had everything sorted out, but I failed at some point and now I constantly feel like a total loser.
However, as of lately I've been thinking that maybe I'm just overthinking stuff and worrying about everything (as always) and, that it certainly is time to stop bitching about every single thing and do something with whatever it is that's been bothering me, lol.
Yeah, this manga is the slap in the face I needed. 10/10

Nice reboot, not my favorite... but it was cool, it felt more like a prequel in my opinion. To be totally honest, I didn't really like all the changes made here as many others have already pointed out (mostly with Milly) but I still think it was good overall, the animation was amazing, and some extra details provided compliment the original story pretty well. More people should give it a try now that the first season is over, however, I'll highly recommend the manga as no adaptation ever can compare to it, if you have the chance to read it, please do so! I do
...
also feel the need to inform everyone that cute little Sonic (from Kekkai Sensen, another Nightow's manga) is right there at the end!!! 😆
