SPOILER ALERT
This review... will be very hard to write for me. but here it goes... This is (so far) the worst part in Jojo!
Now, I will give credit where credit is due, the beginning of part 5 was spectacular! I instantly grew interested in Giorno Giovana, and for a few episodes, I even considered the possibility of him being my new favorite Jojo! On top of that, all the other characters we met along the day, they all felt interesting in their own regards! So, I will admit that the beginning (and even the middle) of part 5 did feel like genuine old fun

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure! However, somewhere around... I'd like to say, when they decided to betray their boss, that is when part 5 sorta took a turn for the worst. It's almost as if all of the "fun" from Jojo kinda just... disappeared. No more did we see quirky enemies, funny jokes being thrown around, ect. It sorta just took this turn as if Araki wanted the story to take a more serious tone, and that's just really unlike Jojo. Don't get me wrong, Jojo can get serious, yes, but it's been made very clear that it's never supposed to take itself completely seriously.
Around the second half of part 5, the characters started giving out these insanely detailed reasons as to why what they're doing works (one of the things I found humorous about Jojo is how the characters could sorta get away with doing anything "just cause", but that wasn't the case in this part). There's also way too many dramatic pauses that almost feel like they're there to pad out the time, but I know that's not why they're there. They're there to try to make the story feel more dramatic!
But even worse than the unnecessary layer of seriousness was the ending! Aside from part 1, Jojo has some pretty satisfactory endings, but the ending for part 5 was a huge disappointment! Golden Wind's requiem, it does something that tries to be complicated but just ends up feeling completely random. Now, yes, I did say that was part of Jojo's humor was how they didn't need to explain everything and could sort of get away with anything, but that's the thing, this didn't feel like an attempt at being humorous! Because Araki decided to take a more serious tone by the end, The way Golden Wind defeated the enemy didn't feel like it was meant to be funny, it felt like it was actually trying way too hard to be a serious, complicated attack, but in the end, it failed at being that. It just ended up not making any sense at all and making the ending completely unsatisfactory! I didn't feel like the villain really got defeated. The villain barely even did anything interesting! Speaking of which, they made a huge deal about the villain's identity being revealed, but they never really did anything with that. We didn't really learn anything about the villains past despite that being the villains entire motive for trying to kill the main characters! The villain didn't put up much of a fight. Giorno uses an insanely OP attack, and that's it. Kira on the other hand (the villain from part 4) was way more interesting than this villain! He had a much more interesting personality and he also put up a much better fight!
Another thing I hated about the ending was how they go into this COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY flashback about a stand that has the power to tell everyone's fate (aka, the way they're going to die). Said stand tells us that Bucciarati is going to die. Why is this unnecessary? Because
1- We already knew Bucciarati was dead and
2- ... nothing really happened after that long flashback.
We didn't get to see Bucciarati back at the colosseum for the maybe slight chance that he might still be alive, or at the very least, to see the crew's reaction to Bucciarati being dead. Instead that flashback just felt like yet another attempt at making this plot seem more "deep" and "serious" than it needs to be.
We didn't see any real conclusion. We didn't see where each character ventures off after the ending. We didn't see if maybe some of the older characters had found out about the incident, nothing... It didn't feel like a proper ending. It felt almost unfinished... and that's just a real shame...
Is this the worst anime ever made? No, of course not. This was still, overall, very enjoyable! Maybe if I didn't hold it to the standards of the other Jojo parts, and maybe if this was a stand alone anime, I might consider it a masterpiece! But compared to the other amazing parts we got before this one? This one was the worst. If you're a Jojo fan, you should still definitely watch this! Even if it's just to "get it over with" or if you actually think you'll enjoy it, watch it and you be the judge for yourself. I've already made up my mind on this part, so far, this is the worst part.
