Golden Time
|
Golden Time and Toradora are similar in that they're romantic comedies about the characters in a school setting. Golden Time is in University, Toradora is in high school. Golden Time is about a guy who has amnesia and can't remember his past, he quickly meets his new best friend on the first day of University and quickly realizes his friend is being stalked by a beautiful girl he's trying to avoid like the plague. He can't remember any past relationships and ends up falling for that girl which is convenient for his friend. It tells the story of him remembering his past (and past love interest) versus living his current life with his new one. Toradora! is about a guy who is seen as a delinquent due to his eyes, the way he looks. People are originally quite scared of him due to his appearance. He meets a girl who people are also afraid of due to her being violent, they both have something in common in that they are the best friend of each others love interests. They both come from broken families and have a lot in common but are effected completely differently by it. The main protagonist is actually quite independent and cooks, cleans, and is mostly calm while the crazy girl named "Taiga" is a train wreck and can't even put trash in the right bins let alone survive on her own without his help. It tells the story of how they try and aid each other in gaining the love of the people they desire.
