This is my first review, so please bear with me.
Aoashi is not your run of the mill soccer anime. Unlike most short length soccer animes, Aoashi doesn't start off with a soccer rookie that has some potential in the sport or some special skill and in just 24 episodes makes them the best soccer player on the team that everyone trusts and admires. Nor does it really include the troupe that the power of friendship will solve everything. No, Aoashi takes a mediocre soccer player that wants to achieve his dream of playing on the world stage as the best forward in the world and
...
throws him into a place where he's gonna get his world ROCKED. Aoashi shows the true experience of trying to achieve one's dreams. It shows that not everything in life will go as planned, but if you're optimistic and work hard, you can achieve things you never thought you would be able to achieve.
Basically all I'm saying is that I'm glad Aoashi doesn't glorify achieving one's dream like some other sports animes do. I love watching Ashito learn new skills and overcome hardships to achieve his dream, and I can't wait to watch more.
