This anime has referenced in the second episode that it borrows a lot of elements from Maison Ikkoku. It just doesn't have the sci-fi parts.

They have a similar vibe where the female lead just wants to live her life without knowing that there may be potential relationships around her.

Both involve overpowered psychics who don't use their powers too often for reasons. Along with a ridiculous cast of characters, but Mob Psycho 100 has a different way of storytelling and a very different art style. Both are funny though.

Someone may look scary, but that doesn't mean that they are. It's a common theme between the two, and both share the genre of romantic-comedy.

This one will probably seem very out of place since it is a completely different genre, but I wanted to recommend this one for two reasons. 1. They are both by "Production IG" (which has a ton of solid works that also include Attack on Titan, but I think that would be a bad recommendation for this one) 2. They are both very pure. The main characters have personalities that make it very hard for you to hate them.

They are both killing games except this anime is based on the video game. In Danganronpa, it is about regular school students who are imprisoned inside Hopes Peak Academy, but in order to gain back their freedom, they must murder someone and get away with it. I would recommend the game itself, but the anime counts as a weaker substitute.

I know these shows are extremely different, but please hear this out first. Both of these were animated by Studio Bones which is a great studio that also produced Fullmetal Alchemist and Boku no Hero Academia. They are great at animation, so Noragami will have that. They all have great opening themes and music, and they all have great casts of characters that are funny, quirky, and original. There are huge differences in terms of actual storyline, but I will argue that they both fall into the action/shounen genre, so give it a chance!
