Tate no Yusha, also known as Shield Hero, is one of the few Isekais that really stand out to me. As someone who has read the manga a little bit before this anime aired in a couple sittings, I'll try my best to not let my fanboyism of this series get in the way of my review. Will have spoilers below.
Story-7/10
The story of the anime starts off strong, just like the manga, but what I believe it suffers from is adapting the light novel source, where our hated red head known as Myne pops up way too often in contrast to the manga, where

its less frequent and repetitive. Really should of done the manga version, a shame to see people dropping this anime because of her constant pop ups ruining the story. Raphtalia is a cutie waifu who wants Naofumi to lewd her, so ignore her little protecc squad, as shes clearly asking for the lewding. Just not by us. :-D Naofumi is an interesting main character, I dont know if its the anime ive been finding, but most anime ive seen have the characters cry tooo much, or yell too much to the point its annoying, some situations I understand why they do, but its nice to see Naofumi break that mold of the norm for me. The other heroes, I could care less about due to their idiocy, okay, maybe Ren is decent cause he seems somewhat sensible. Filo is alright too, she just gotta stop cockblockin my raccoon gal. The pacing is somewhat a problem, too many montages that skip over important scenes the manga had done brilliantly just to give us more of the plot, really shoots the pacing in the foot at times. Also, hey, an isekai character who doesnt die to go to his world for once!
Art -7/10
Not much to say here, art is pretty mediocre, decent use of cg. But its pretty much your average anime art quality you can find elsewhere.

Everything sounds so smooth with the music, bless Kevin Penkin.
Character-7/10
While I think the Tate no Yusha anime gets its characters hated on a bit too much, I have to agree with some points, like everyone being written in a way to just flat out hate Naofumi no matter what, execution can save that, but it doesnt really sadly save it here, especially in the anime and light novel source.
Enjoyment-8/10
As I said above, im a bit of a fanboy when it comes to this, since I loved the manga to death, I enjoyed the anime almost as much, I would have enjoyed it more if it toned down Myne like the manga did. But alas, it chose the source where shes rampant in to adapt.
