The One is a story I happened to just come across. I started reading it and got swooped in! I kept reading though because I enjoy the fashion/modeling world. booiii it's not just about the fashion/modeling stuff, but thrill-related stuff too! I'm talking politics, guns, thugs, etc... The story got better along with the humor! Character development takes a while. It is interesting to see how each character rises and falls. There was an arc involving Angus which can be a little too much. I do think up until the later chapters this is a wonderful story! If it wasn't for the later half & ... sort-of-rushed ending, I'd give it a 10. A 9 isn't bad either but it's worth the read. Reminds me of the Paradise anime/manga.

I was not disappointed! Shiomi Chika does it again with her amazing & unique storylines exploring all subjects/genres in her story. The cover is very misleading but in no way is this BL.

The story focuses more on Kazuya, a 17-year old boy who was abandoned in New York and has no recollection of his past except his name. He is also followed around by his partner-in-crime, Keith, who is human but has instincts of a wild beast. Kazuya's black eyes (B-Eyes) have a supernatural effect on those who look into them and using this, he follows orders given by up top. He's shown as a heartless person, but one encounter changes it all. The same thing can be said about Keith. The story is confusing the first couple of chapters, but you gain clarity as you read on. This story explores dark topics, so in no way is it a light-hearted manga.

Of all the characters, I love Keith. Shiomi Chika does a wonderful job of developing her characters because you can never truly hate anyone in any of her mangas. If you do, she ends up making you hate them less with the development of the story. The Bromance in this story is so much better than the romance. I continued reading because of what Keith does for Kazuya. By the end of the story, I felt it was a very satisfying read. There is romance, but I think it was pretty mellowed out as the story focuses heavily on Kazuya & Keith's job/character development.

Overall, if you have the time check it out :).

I read this out of curiosity and it did not disappoint! If you want to avoid all the typical romance/shoujo cliches, this one is a great story to pass time with! Also, if you like FOOD FOOD FOOD...well you're in for a ride cause every ep was pretty much MOUTH-DROOLING. Also, if you like seeing time flow in the manga, this is a good one for that! They're not stuck in the typical high school forever scenario.

Story: It's only pretty nicely paced and nothing over-the-top to frustrate readers. It's very relaxing, at least for me. I personally think it's very cute how this story ... shows two neighbors who come together over time and are connected by food. I also feel this kind of scenario is realistic because people are becoming anti-social these days. The side characters are also the best! No rivals, frustrating romance, or annoying characters.

Characters: The characters grew on me over time. The main characters are definitely not annoying and have fun personalities. It can get sort of repetitive with the main girl characters dialogue, but everyone has their own trauma right? The ML is a blunt honest guy with amazing cooking skills while the FL is ditzy & academically smart, but not survival smart. The side characters are also fun to see as they support the main ones.

Art: I really love the art style from this mangaka, especially the expressions she creates.

Overall: I was pretty surprised to see how much I liked this story. The ending is cute too & it has it's own sequel if you want to see the adult side of things :3. I personally would reread this again just because of how the elements of this manga are. You can't go wrong with this one.

Since these are specials apart from the main series, they're definitely worth the watch! Short 5 minutes clips, well maybe like 2-minute anime & the rest is the ED, explores the typical lives of our characters yet again! We even get to see never before scenes you'd never expect, especially with Nino & Grossular. I enjoyed the episodes from 2-6! I highly recommend watching this if you feel empty after watching the main series :)! I honestly don't know why it was scored a 6 as it was pretty enjoyable & super funny. I laughed more watching the specials versus the main series xD.

To add onto the already existing reviews, you honestly cannot go wrong with this story. You fall in love with all the characters, my FAVORITE being Tachibana & Sodom. :3 I would not put this one aside even with the shounen-ai tag. This is more comrade-ship type, similar to 07 Ghost. No yaoi/boy love at all. I mean sure the dialogue may imply it, but I didn't get that vibe what-so-ever. The art is amazing, the story progresses so smoothly though I did have some confusion more towards the last volume as to how it suddenly developed midway, the characters are so fun, & more!! ... It's just a phenomenal story. Due to health issues sadly, our mangaka has left it as an open-ended story that is to be continued at a later time when it's right :) so I pray for her safe recovery! I enjoy all the extras & the mangaka notes & fan corners in the manga xD. I highly encourage yall to get the hard copy in case ya wanna send a letter to our mangaka via a library.

You have our main character, Rikka, who attends a high school only a selected few can go because they are the chosen ones by a certain God. However, little do Rikka & her friends know what is in store for them.

The story itself is pretty unique, but it's a pointless read. I mean read it, but you'll feel like it's pointless because you won't get any life lessons from it. If I had to describe it, it sort of reminded me of HxH where "friendship is the ultimate power" kind of feeling. It's filled with super cute characters. The art is just phenomenal that I ... just couldn't stop reading it. There is a cliche plot, but it takes a while to get there.

There are absolutely ZERO ANNOYING CHARACTERS. Isn't that amazing? Everyone is so dam good looking in this manga LOL. If you wanna pass time, read it, if not, you're not missing out. There's just so much fluffiness, kawaiiness, sadistic, nosebleeding moments for readers.

Such a slice of life type manga. I definitely enjoyed this story.

Story:
You have our main character Chiyoko Tatsumi who's life is turned upside down because her dad's company went into debt. She now moves into a house full of a bunch of ex-mafia member that live in a bakery shop owned by the ex-mafia leader. The story focuses on her & the lives of these individuals and how they live with one another while their pasts are revealed, bringing them closer together. The story can get serious at times despite the comedy and I think the mangaka did an amazing job at blending in ... the whole mafia scenario. The pacing of this story is not rushed, not too slow, but pretty good. Filled with so much comedy & life lessons. It's heartwarming & mildly filled with feels.

Characters:
At first, our main character is extremely immature, tsundere mostly, but definitely matures later on in the story. The character development is really well done. The other characters she lives with, Kuri, Ichigo, Amon, Matsukichi, Shuuzo are all great. The comedy is so funny and the art expresses it so well. My favorite is Shuuzo LOL. The art is amazing in this story!! I am glad to have come across this manga.

I definitely would say if you need a manga to read, this one is a go to. 73 chapters, not too many pages so you could finish it within 1-2 days & filled with the importance of what it means to be a family and what is a family. I enjoyed it up until the end! You will not be left hanging. There's also a J-drama that has been made off of this story :3.

This is my first review ever. I didn't think an anime would move me so much to the point of actually writing a review. This anime is truly a breath of fresh air and completely different from your cliche high school romance/shoujo/seinen animes. Josei doesn't even describe this anime. I'd say it's drama, psychological, historical, heartwarming, tragic, bittersweet, and so much more!

This season continues to develop the already S1 story present. It develops so well providing better art, character development, closure, subtle hints of foreshadowing, emotion-provoking episodes that I couldn't get enough of. The pacing of this anime is just perfect. Not too rushed ... & not too slow.

Characters 10/10:
I became so heavily invested in the characters this season. I think I see old people as extremely adorable hence I enjoyed every moment of Kikuhiko. Some people seemed to be annoyed with Yota, but HE IS IRREPLACEABLE. I think because of him the story progressed and allowed the characters to change. He is literally the savior & I am so proud of what he does in the series. He is the reason Rakugo continues to evolve.

Enjoyment 10/10:
This was my first time being introduced to Rakugo. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The VA's do a phenomenal job in their roles and I couldn't ask for more. The studio team did an excellent job producing this anime. The flow of the anime, the OPs/EDs for both seasons, the blending of scenes, the music, the ambiguity, the closure, just everything is perfect.

Everyone watch it. Be patient as this anime has a lot of life lessons you can take with you. Story 10/10
