TLDR at the beginning bcuz too much to read for those who don't care:
The rating is 3 because it just didn't make sense as a standalone show. Without any extra context whatsoever, this anime is a writing mess with fanservice that's so shoehorned in, even MY degenerate self felt weird having to look at some of it (except 4 ribbon wrapped blonde girl and hot big tidded "almost segz" scenes. Those are quality scenes if you remove the context of the show ;D). The pacing and writing is simply awful, and unless this entire show gets entirely remade by a far better studio, I won't

recommend ANYONE watch this anime, it's a waste of time unless you're in it for the POTENTIAL story and fanservice. (some action scenes are OK if ur for that as well. but I'd say watch any other action anime ever instead, as this show's action is quite short-lived or lackluster).
I watched all 12 episodes because I hate myself. It was bad. I'm shocked having looked at it's overall rating.
I wanna preface this by saying that this is my first ever review for MAL, so I apologize in advance for any lack of quality that most reviewers present. But I do hope you still hear me out as I'm going to be as honest as I can, and try to keep pointless bias out. \
I'll try and keep this short. I was someone who was unfortunate enough to go into this anime without ANY previous context whatsoever, I hadn't read the light novel it was based off of (which I've heard is significantly better) or the manga adaptation at all. And I must say, nothing made sense 90% of the time. The story itself is somewhat interesting, but the way it's told in the anime just frustrated me, as it seemed like every plot point was just jammed into the anime with astoundingly little build up, and so many things that characters say throughout the show have 0 context, or are just set up so awfully that they have no impact.
I'll go down the rating list
Story - 4: Again, in concept it could be cool, nothing about the world is fundamentally bad, but idk what the director was on when making this because none of it feels like it belongs. One of the biggest flaws I noticed was just the GOD awful pacing. Nothing EVER had proper buildup, or when it seems like it finally WAS building up to something, it falls off completely with some lackluster scene/line/literal lack of anything coming of it.
Art - 6: It was.... ok. It had alright visuals and animations, not the worst things I've scene, but far from great. It's one of the few things I somewhat appreciated about the show. But that's as far as it goes, as regardless of how ok it looks, some things still look out of place. Character expressions sometimes don't fit the scenario, or, sometimes, even what they're saying. There is some pretty meh 3d animation, it's not the worst I've seen, but it certainly didn't make me like it more. Some crappy animations were re-used several times (namely transformation related), and it wasn't even like they cut at different points, or tried to make it look different, I'm near positive they used the same exact cutscene like 3 times for different parts. The Super Sentai esc. designs were alright if you're just looking at the designs themselves. But them in battle is just way more lackluster than it should be. Some transformations don't even make sense.
Sound - 5: It was ok. Some songs were.. strange. But overall it did its job, least from what I can remember, nothing stuck out to me except for the weird ones.
Character - 3: The only genuinely decent characters are big tiddie tech genius/scientist and psychopathic plant guy. The most relatable and ACTUALLY interesting character was the one I initially figured was JUST for extra fanservice. Turns out Suginami (big tiddie girl) was the ONLY character who was decently written in this anime, at least until the explored her more, then some parts contrasted what I like about her character entirely. Thankfully they don't change her much throughout, and she is one of the few character's who's backstory was interesting to watch for a while. The only reason I liked psycho guy was because. Well. He's crazy, and the scariest and most dangerous people are simply those who are absolutely messed up in the head, so he was the only villain who made much sense to me because he didn't NEED a good reason to do what he was doing. The rest of the main cast is just tropes with forced personality. Personality, I'll say, that is very shallow and plot conducive. Orange hair chick's entire backstory is skimmed over like hardly anything, and she gets this crush on the mc because. Well she HAS to, she's the main heroine. etc. short stack blonde chick is just annoying and really bad at her job. That's it for 90% of the show. fun. magical girl is just a "not tsundere," who's relationship to everyone else is wishy washy and NEVER fleshed out. There's the emotionless little girl trope filled by some soul machine thing who's only apparent reason (given in the anime) for choosing the mc was that she needed someone who could use a sword real good, and he's just perfecttt. I refuse to explain or elaborate. I won't get into the villains because frankly I forgot most of them, except this one short blue haired girl who's reason for being alive isn't elaborated on at alll.
Enjoyment- 2: I obviously just couldn't enjoy it. maybe it's because I didn't turn my brain completely off or something, but nothing felt natural whatsoever, not even the fantasy elements within its own fantasy world felt like they belonged.
