I am so happy that I did not listen to the thoughts of others, and just went into this show blindly!
All I see is others saying that this is rushed, and the pacing was off yada yada yada. THEY'RE WRONG. It is so important to go into this with an open mind, and to just accept what you see. Just because the story is told in an unorthodox way that doesn't stive to be like other animes, does not mean it is told incorrectly. At the very least, it had the potential to be interesting. I do love when an anime manages to accurately teach, and provide the experience of a hobby I’ve never heard of. Even if you’ve never played the game, it managed to pull you in and make you interested. While this is all lovely, it’s too bad the protagonist is the most basic and boring dude in all existence.
I suppose there’s a reason why he is the way he is, but that won’t force me to actually care about him. He’s very monotonous, and self pitying. These traits weren’t backed up by much. Some ...

Ok so i absolutely love the message, but the irony is that I am not able to fully connect with this anime. I thought it was a well done and bizarre take on the idea that people are social creatures who seek out connections, despite the inherently difficult nature of creating attachments. Usually we're so guarded with our secrets, and we believe that hiding those secrets will help connections, but it's really the opposite. ...

I understand this may not be everyone's cup of tea, but O how I wish this was a full length series. Either way, it's short and sweet and perfect for me. There is just something that's so comforting and satisfies a deep part within myself. I am in love with the art and color palette. The humor is just my type, I can't complain, it was love at first sight.
The story is quite literally just a young artist living life... that's it. There wasn't really a plot, nor a character arc. It's almost like little funny skits on everyday life.

People are being way too hard on this anime! It was so serene and lovely. The art style was so beautiful, and it was amazing seeing two messed up characters learn to grow together. At times, the world building was slow moving and it made the show feel like slice of life but i loved that!! It showed how the world worked and then when it felt good and ready, it dived deep into the dark and gritty side of this story. The characters were actually each very complex and multi-dimensional, the setting was beautifully mind blowing, and the story was gripping. Magical and beautiful

This show is the funniest anime I have ever seen. The OP is what your expectations are at first glance of this anime, and the ending song is the reality. Both of which I jam SO HARD TO.
