yo i saw your gokushufudou review and, ngl, it was kinda peak. personally, i never had a problem with the animation because why the fuck would i care about the animation- i dont watch anime- or consume media in general- to find flaws, i do so to enjoy myself, but it was honestly a breath of fresh air, especially in contrast to the reviewers under yours who were just complaining about the anime. yeah, it's not necessarily as animate as, say demon slayer, but why should it? in this example, demon slayer is an action manga, compared to gokushufudou, which is a comedy. if it was fully animated, it would be just another seasonal comedy anime, so instead, they risked it and animated in a unique way that stands out. unfortunately, they overestimated their community as people who would not automatically write off anime just because they didn't agree with some choices, not because those choices were bad per say, but because they were not used to such choices, and were conditioned to thinking more animation = more effort = more better. which is a fundamentally flawed way of thinking.
