I actually watched Handa-kun first and loved it, so I was thrilled when I started watching Saiki and discovered it was similar in many regards. Both of the main characters are popular without realizing it and don't really want the attention they get. They are both a bit sarcastic and standoffish and have a friend group that is introduced in such a way that it is easy for you to remember who is who. I think the format of both these anime are very easy to digest: Saiki is broken down into 5-minute shorts while Handa-kun has about 2 to 3 different shorts in each episode until you reach the end. The humor in both is also golden: they keep hitting you with joke after joke so something is bound to land.
