Ok first of all, everyone saying the art is "bad" "ok" "not unique" is fuxking blind or something cause there's no way they looked at the artstyle, which is without a doubt the strongest point of this manga and called it bad. Just seems like more elitists calling everything but their top 3 trash.

first when bugs start coming out of nowhere and start "spitting" these chemical type of substances at everyone (if I remember correctly it's been years since I read it) and because of this the Mc's friends die but he survives because he was the only one who was in "the safe place" that could protect him from the bugs. His friend's deaths depress him so he becomes a bum for a few years living from the abandoned supermarket to supermarket. At this point, mysterious creatures called dollies have swarmed earth and are killing the remaining humans. How is any of this similar to aot? You could say dollies are like titans but dollies have a mind of their own, some have emotions and some are even capable of holding grudges and can tell humans apart. Plus dollies have a lot of mechanisms going to them, they carry weapons and some have shields even (I can't believe someone in the reviews was mad because they had shields).

In conclusion, it is a great manga, I just wish it wasn't rushed and axed. The art is absolutely amazing. Would recommend.

So It's been a while since I started reading this and I've wanted to write a review but I just couldn't find the right words to help me convey what I feel about this manga. Slight spoilers ahead btw.
SO first of all the plot is very generic, but generic doesn't mean bad. If it's done in a good way generic can also be good as seen from almost every new gen shounen. But this... is just mid. The story starts with letting us know that Ichinose Shiki (the mc) is a trouble maker, always making trouble for his old man and everyone around him and
...
he also never goes to school. Then a few panels later person with some type of mysterious magic comes in and tries to kill Ichionse, but of course his old man tries to stop him and dies in the process. But guess what? HE WASN'T HIS REAL DAD!! HE PICKED ICHINOSE OFF OF NOWHERE WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT?! After this Ichinose is all alone and miserable and doesn't know what to do which is when a mysterious guy with rollerblades and an umbrella made from blood comes in and tries to awaken Ichinose's true power by training him a bit. After training for 2 chapters Ichinose is told to go to this school for oni (his type of species which are basically demons able to manipulate blood) who train to fight off the momotarou (a group of supernatural humans who use bacteria? as their power source). Which is when he realizes that HE IS INDEED THE MC AND THE KID OF SOME IMPORTANT ONI FROM A CENTURY AGO aka the plot of Blue Exorcist and a couple of other shounen we've all watched before.
I'm gonna be honest it is kinda enjoyable at times despite not having a single unique trait. The characters are all painfully basic and stereotypical, though a few of them have some mystery behind their character which is good. One thing that this series doesn't fail at though is making good looking characters. EVERYONE is good looking. The villains, the doctors, the students, the teachers all of them are good looking. But I do not appreciate the way the women are represented in this. Sure they are thick and beautiful but all of their boobs are seriously VERY HUGE. No human can carry that shit around. I understand that it might be for fan service purposes but that shit ain't attractive at all.
One thing I like about it is that while the oni or the "bad guys" are just creatures trying to live their life peacefully, without harming humans, the momotarou who are supposed to be the "good guys" are the ones that are seriously corrupt. I think this is a good representation of how some good and evil works and I appreciate the author for doing that.
That being said, you should read it if you are an extreme shounen fan or if you want to kill time if you're bored.

This was probably the worst anime of the winter 2021 anime season. It's bad right off the bat. But I'll give it a quick rating for the sake of the viewers. dropped it at like ep 9 I don't know how I made it that far.
story: 3/10 it's like there's no specific story this was the most random and confusing shit I've seen and the pacing is just awful it's all over the place.
character: 4/10 every character had the blandest and most boring personality, there's no depth to them, there's no trait nothing noticeable, makes me wonder if this is the authors first anime. The

only characters I could tolerate were tanaka and sho sometimes and I don't even know wtf happened to him. They never explained it and it happened out of no where. Really bad writing
art: 4/10 the animation on normal days is your everyday average animation. Looked stiff most of the time. Lets not talk about the surfing and water cgi.
sound: 5/10 I don't remember what both the opening or ending sound like, character voices and osts were just ok/meh
enjoyment: 6/10 I don't have much to say about this, it was boring but not too bad
overall: 5/10 worst anime of winter 2021 that's it

No one is ready to say it so I will.
Black Clover is a great series.
Black Clover DOES NOT deserve the amount of hate it gets. That being said let me get to rating everything else that Black Clover has to offer.
Story 8/10: I love the concept of Black Clover. Asta who has absolutely no lick of magic was born into a world where magic is everything, instead of giving up, losing hope and crying about it everyday like some other person, works hard and decides to take his fate into the control of his own hands. the universe as well, and we finally got an anime where they actually have to say the name of their ability for it to work lol.
Art 8/10: I absolutely love the art style BC has. GODBATA does a great job at drawing characters. Even though the anime did not do it justice for like 140 episodes it's still okay.
Sound 9/10: I don't think I need to say anything about this, we all know how goated BC's openings and endings are. Specially JUSTadICE, Black Catcher and Tenjou Tenge. But I'll take one point off because the osts were not as good.
Character 8/10: While Black Clover has many great characters like Asta, Yami, Luck, Mereoleona, Julius and many others, there are some who just ruin this experience for me like bell and Noelle. I think Noelle is one of if not the strongest new gen female protagonist and has one of the best character developments in the show overall, but I just can not stand her character with all the "I'm Royalty!!" and hitting Asta all the time for no reason. And we all know how annoying just bell's presence is. Let's not talk about the fucking king. Lets talk about Yuno. Yuno is far from being similar to Sasuke. Yuno is probably the best rival Asta could've asked for. He is supportive, faithful, believes in Asta, and doesn't tolerate people who try to slander Asta as seen in that one scene he has with Sekke. What other Rival does this? Although Yuno has a lot of these good qualities including his looks, I can understand why people might not like him as he acts a bit too arrogant sometimes. Other than that, I absolutely love all the characters.
Enjoyment 10/10: I enjoy Black Clover a lot. It might just be one of my favorite animes after having watched 100+ animes. I really love how all the characters interact with each other and the way it has you rooting for the characters and feel like you're there with them watching them grow and evolve is really amazing which is why I think it's really enjoyable.
Overall 10/10: That being said you should definitely give Black Clover a try if you haven't already, it's one of the best new gens out right now. And even if you're one of the people who shit on it before even watching it, you should try it with an open mind you'll probably like it considering how many people did.
