Better than the manga!!
How many times has that happened? I gave the show a 7 because the humour fell flat for me (maybe because I'm older?), but the romance and slice of life themes are very solid.
Story and Characters
The characters have very definite personalities (no blending of characters in your memory here) - and no significant change in any of them except Miyamura. I liked that all the characters had positive and negative traits while still being realistic and normal jks, but obviously some characters will be annoying.
I find it hilarious that some reviewers classified this as shoujo. It is not. This is 100%
...
a shounen romance. Romance does not always need a harem for it to be shounen. This show is an example of shounen romance done well - with multiple types of guys and girls, no crazies, and no more than 2 girls chasing the same guy. And finally I liked that every episode had a point to it; You could clearly understand the writers intention with each episode. The pacing and plot adjustments were better in this adaption than in the manga.
My major gripe with this show is the boring dialog. Unfortunately the author isn't that witty (even though this is a comedy lol) so while there are some decent laughs, there was basically only one character that I found funny(green haired minor male character).
Art: Quite nice. You can tell who's supposed to be a pretty boy and who's supposed to be a super pretty boy lol.
Enjoyment: better than the manga.
Overall: decent romance/jk slice of life. Recommended
