Natsu no shuuten is a coming-of-age manga about some young teenagers and them coping with their unrequited love. The main character is a girl named Natsukawa who is in love with her schoolmate named Aikawa. Aikawa is a boy with a difficult family situation who is in love with his new older stepsister. The stepsister is also in a difficult romantic situation where she is waiting for her lover(?) who left her. Some new characters get introduced in the future as well. Such as a boy who falls in love with Natsukawa and his childhood friend who likes him. This manga explores these characters relationships
...
with eachother and their own problems.
Natsu no shuuten has quite a unique art style for a jump manga. It has kind of a minimalistic art style which is quite charming at the same time. The art is very cozy and soothing.
This manga is a melancholic ride. It's a very silent manga. Not many words are used. It tries to convey feelings with facial expressions more than words. Everything is very subtle and ambiguous but not really hard to understand. It expresses emotions quite nicely. The author did a good job with all these things.
The characters of this manga is pretty well made and likable. I love the slow development of relationships between the characters.
I highly recommend this manga to readers who want a simple, melancholic and relaxing manga.

I was very indecisive about choosing between 'recommended' and 'mixed feelings' because even though I really enjoyed the movie and I do recommend watching this movie, I have a handful of 'mixed feelings'.
This movie might have had one the best animation I've ever seen. Literally every single frame from the opening scene is an wallpaper (as expected from a Makoto Shinkai film). I don't really have much to say about the production of the movie as it was nothing short of being just perfect.
But my 'mixed feelings' lies within the plot. It seems that Makoto Shinkai's films are now suffering from Your Name's success.
...
After Your Name's high commercial success Shinkai just tossed away all his creativity into garbage. His last three movies have all been about a natural disaster and the main character saving their lover from danger. I really miss drama movies like The Garden of Words and 5 Centimetres Per Second.
But that is not my main problem, rather the lack of explanations. That might not be problem for the Japanese audience but for outsiders like us, the explanation is way too vague or short to understand. There are a few events that are completely unexplained.
For example, Suzume's aunts sudden outburst. It was suggested that it had something to do with a black cat but it is not really confirmed by the movie. Even if that was the reason, the answer for why and how is still missing. You can make theories but there is no solid proof for those.
Another major problem is romance. I feel that Makoto Shinkai didn't really wanted to include romance originally but shoved it in because it would sell more. The romance part simply didn't make sense. Suzume falling in love for Souta was confusing enough but Souta falling for Suzume was beyond my comprehension.
I wish the movie gave a few more minutes to really showcase their relationship. That might've made the movie better.
Well, even after all my complaints, I cannot deny that this movie was enjoyable. It had one of best OST and animations that you just can't avert your eyes from. At the end, all I can say is- It could have been better.

Isekai, an edgy overpowered protagonist, lots of girls following him around....
It may seem very familiar but it's not like what you're imagining. Maybe it is, but a little bit different than that.
Isekai is a genre a lot of people hate and for all the good reasons. Most isekais are repetitive, illogical, directionless. Though there are some exceptions and as you can guess what I would say, the eminence in shadow is one of those exceptions.
On the surface, this series might seem like any other generic isekai, but that is literally the whole point of the anime.
...
This anime is a satirical take on generic isekais with overpowered protagonists. There's a guy who wants to be something that he thinks cool and somehow unaware that he is actually some kind of underworld boss. This anime is intentionally made cringy so viewers can just laugh at it. And there's also some serious story and cool action scenes as a bonus.
I recommend everyone to try it out even if you don't like isekai genre.

It's a big budget movie with great staffs and voice cast. It had lots of hype, maybe that's a reason why it felt more disappointing.
Anyway, let's start with the good parts.
Animation: Just mind-blowing. I don't have anything else to say.
Voice Acting: It's not bad. It had a mixture of great veterans and rookies. And they did a good job.
...
Music: It's Sawano Hiroyuki, and he did what was expected from him. The opening and ending songs by Eve and riria was great. I'm a fan of Eve I'm more than satisfied with the song. And riria's voice is also great.
The bad part is the plot. The one in charge of writing was Urubushi Gen, who is undoubtedly one of the best out there in the industry. But he did a rather underwhelming job here. In the middle of other great parts, the bad writing stood out more. The plot had no explanation or any proper backstory. Just some supernatural things happening without any reason. The characters had no developments at all. The female protagonist literally had nothing in her. It wasn't even explained what she actually is.
The main problem is no questions were answered. Why, what, how- nothing at all.
In conclusion, if you're in the mood of watching something for cool animations, great visuals and score then I absolutely recommend it. But if you are like me, searching for a good story then don't watch this movie.

First of all, I personally don't like CGDCT much. The only CGDCT I've rated higher than 5 before is non non biyori.
So, what makes bocchi the rock special? I think it's because of the amount of effort given to create this. The voice acting, animation, screenplay, music; everything is just perfect.
The bocchi the rock manga is quite good but compared to the anime, it's a bit bland. This is the only case where I believe that an anime adaption is actually better than the original.
Let's talk about animation first. It doesn't have much visually striking aesthetic scenes nor it has great action scenes (of course)
...
but it has great animation in a different way. Animation is a medium with endless possibilities and bocchi the rock makes the best out of it.
Then there's voice acting. Every VA was so much great like their characters were made for their voice. It felt so natural.
It's an anime with a band theme. So it should have some great songs which it does. Kessoku band seems like a real band to me. The anime album had 14 tracks and every one of them is smashing. It is coming from a fan of Asian Kung-fu Generation, but the cover of Rock n roll, morning light falls on you sounds better than the original version.
If we're talking about plot, yes, there isn't anything thata marvellous YET. Many people may find Gotou Hitori relatable but I'm not one of them. This is probably be the reason why I'm not giving it a 10/10.
But as the story is only at the starting, we'll have to wait for new season's to judge the plot. We might see some great developments in the future.
I've not seen much animes with this massive amount of creativity. It has a great sense of humour and it has done a great jod conveying it.
The use of references and parodying old animes is splendid. If we are only talking about production (directing, animating, voice acting, screenplay etc.), It's a masterpiece work.
In my opinion, bocchi the rock is the best anime of 2022 and maybe one of the best slice of life animes of last decade.
