The story is not particularly explosive. However, the thing with coming of age or slice of life story is that, it’s the most relatable and authentic. The drama is something that any type of viewer can relate to. It can be boring at the beginning but that’s usually given with this kind of genre. The magic happens when an author is able to make a slice of life story interesting which in this case I believe is successful enough.
Almost all the characters have something to offer with the whole impact the story brings. Each of their personal issues makes the genre of the story more
...
effective.
I am not a technical person but I still somehow can tell how nicely done the animation of the series is most particularly when the characters are playing. And let’s not forget the amazing sounds that the series has. Even the subs by the seiyuu’s are interesting and refreshing.
I’ve seen amazing series about classical music (Nodame Cantabile) and pop music (K-On!), so this time, jazz is added to my favorite list of anime about music. It’s about love, family, drama, music, and most importantly it’s about friendship. It’s really worth to watch.

The story is still somewhat the same as there’s still the typical “defeated at the beginning then have a comeback at the end” kind of storyline. However, that kind of storyline never gets old and still very effective particularly in action shounen series. But the drama this time is cleaner and more authentic.
Among the long list of the series films, I believe this one has the Navy more involved more than ever so some of the Navy characters are explored particularly Aokiji who’s one of the most popular Navy characters which I personally like. I believe the villain this time can be considered as
...
the strongest character who opposes the Great Pirate Age and of course, the Straw Hat Pirates as he’s the one who trained some of the strongest Navy Marines. As a result, more than ever Luffy’s resolve is even more tested. That being said, Luffy is not the type of shounen hero who would save the world for some cliché idealism. He’s the type who would shake the world for the most personal reason of getting back his hat which makes him one of the most admirable shounen protagonists of all time.
What’s always amazing in One Piece’s movies are the leveled –up animation in every film; fights scenes, background, and most particularly the main characters’ designs and outfits which I personally always look forward to every new movie. Luffy’s haki is amazingly animated here.
I strongly believe that the greatest edge of One Piece from its other “two” rivalry is its amazing films which always surpass the greatness of the previous one which are lacking from the other two. This time almost every element is greater than before; characters, drama, animation, fight scenes, and most particularly the story. It always feels like watching a Hollywood film. I just can’t wait for the coming films in the future.

About the STORY
This somehow will remind you of “The Minority Report” by Steven Spielberg; a futuristic world where you are judged by a system which is almost looks perfect but still makes the world so flawless. It’s the question of “whether one shoot pull the trigger” just because the system tells you to. It’s a story about beliefs and how strong one’s resolve to hold on to those beliefs. There’s a healthy dose of violence and profanity but that’s one should expect from the writer who can balance a good story and violence. It is episodic at the beginning which is perfect for an investigative
...
kind of plot the story has. The story has quite a deep way of explaining things which can be somewhat beyond the understanding for some. On the other hand, for some who’s open-minded, the flow of story can be very interesting on its own way.
About the CHARACTERS
Main characters are strong, personality-wise; a character that has dark past and goes the path of revenge for an old enemy and a female lead which is an innocent and novice character enters the world of violence which will test her resolve and beliefs. However, as the story goes by, the female lead becomes the epitome of how the age of “damsel in distress” should have ended already. With the kind of story the series has, the villains are always the most interesting. These kinds of villains will always leave someone thinking, “He has a point there”. You could even say that he’s more concern about human beings than anybody from the series. At the end, a viewer will have conflicting feelings of disliking and liking the villain which proves how a character can be effective and in my book that’s a plus.
About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
If you’re someone who’s been around in the anime world in a long time, you are most likely very familiar with the animation since it’s similar to a certain anime (Katekyo Hitman Reborn)! The character designs are quite different from Reborn series. However, the most noticeable are the two main characters that have the strong resemblance with some Reborn’s characters; Kougami looks like Kyouya and Tsunemori looks like Yuni. Setting aside the similarities from Reborn! series, the animation is still undoubtedly way more detailed and amazingly done particularly when the “Dominators” are involve. And even the fight scenes are one of a kind. A series with a cool sound I’ve heard in a long time; opening songs, ending songs, and even the insert songs are really cool.
About the ENJOYMENT
It may have resemblance to Reborn but that doesn’t mean they are written by the same person as this series is SO much greater than Reborn series. The storyline conveys conflicting feelings for any type of viewer and stimulate one’s way of thinking which I believe what a worthwhile watching experience should be. I guess the moral lesson is that at the end of the day, human beings are still the ones who should handle their lives. They are the ones who should decide right from wrong and good from evil. They are the ones who should carry the burden and overcome them. After all, they may look fragile but we humans still survived living the harsh reality of the world after all this long, LONG years of daring to live life.

About the STORY
It’s different in a sense of how the flow of story is done! It’s definitely not the typical or traditional way of storytelling. Not to mention that the first half is kind of in the heavy side and the second half is lighter. But it is also true that the first half is a lot more exciting than the second part where there are more flashbacks. One of the most interesting parts of the series is the monologues particularly from Hamlet and The Tempest by William Shakespeare. And the bad side is, the series’ storyline might become too boring for some who prefer
...
more action than talking as there are countless moments for arguments or showdown of reasoning rather than something really happening.
About the CHARACTERS
The two main characters are like combinations of the typical characteristics of shounen series protagonists; one is physically strong type character and the other is the smart type which makes their tandem great for the type of the story the series has. It’s interesting that a dead character can manipulate the story so much. And almost all the characters have interesting roles which is quite rare as there are countless of series with huge number of forgettable characters.
About the ANIMATION
As one of the latest series of today, it’s really a great thing that the animation, particularly the action, is leveled up. There’s amazing details in the fight scenes which makes it even cooler and exciting. Plus, the character’s design is also something to look forward to.
About the ENJOYMENT
For someone who loves literature like myself; having Hamlet and The Tempest as the basis for the story is really amazing. It is no doubt one of the most exciting series of today but that is mostly from the first part and some in the ending. However, the start of the second part gradually makes it less and less interesting and exciting. It is more of the comical approach which is so different from how it started. Nevertheless, I still feel contented. it still definitely left an impression with me.

With the first episodes you would think it would be all comedy but with the revelations at the end, it slowly becomes serious and nice. After finishing the whole thing, there’s obviously a nice balance of comedy, romance, and drama.
I believe literally all the characters have something to offer and interesting.
Animation is not particularly explosive but it is definitely well-made and you can feel that it’s very “now”.
I absolutely enjoyed every episode. It’s worth-watching again and again with its fun and somewhat light story.

And then there’s a 6th………..
About the STORY
It’s so like Naruto series to twist the “normal-kind of storyline” and revive dead characters but this time in a different way. The drama of the movie is one of the most touching parts of its storyline; Naruto’s lack of family. It’s one of the most authentic dramas the series has. A very interesting plot compared to the previous movies where it was just the same old “a mission” kind of plot most particularly the unsuccessful previous two movies.
About the CHARACTERS
The characters made the story really fun and exciting most especially the “Menma” thing. It’s also interesting to see
...
everyone differently and to see Naruto have a family.
About the ANIMATION
The animation is as amazing as always befitting a movie and Naruto movie at that. it may not be as explosive as before but it is still amazing and exciting.
About the ENJOYMENT
The first thing I thought was, it would be boring because the previous two was really lame then Akatsuki appeared right off the bat and everything becomes awesome for me immediately. I bet that most of the Naruto fans will enjoy this one as we get to see lots of situation that we won’t be able to see in the original story. It’s like a very rare chance and among all the movies this is the first time that almost every elements are perfectly balance; action, comedy, animation, sounds, characters, and especially the drama. I strongly believe that makes this one by far the best among the series’ movies.

The story is so fun, interesting, and dreamy. An adventure into a different world with kids as the adventurers. With the age range of the characters, the storyline is very light and family friendly. The characters are all adorable particularly the dog-alien. There are so many interesting things to look at with its nice graphics, character designs, setting and illustrations. The musical background is classical kind which is quite typical for the kind of story the movie has.

Here comes a little refreshment for your usual and everyday animes.
About the STORY
Arabian night; a rare theme and setting for an anime. It’s a perfect setting for a story of magic and adventure. A story of clearing dungeons using magic and getting treasures just like in games will surely get attention of viewers. There’s a nice blend of action, adventure, drama, a little bit of comedy, and even politics. It’s not just all about fictional but there are no non-sense drama and politics as well. However, it has the tendency to become over the top or cheesy. Just like other stories, there are few boring
...
moments.
About the CHARACTERS
The main character is not particularly the physically strong type of protagonist but definitely strong character, personality-wise. Not to mention, he’s also very adorable. For an adventure kind of story, it is given that there quite a number of different characters. And some has their individual circumstances explored in the story.
About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
Animation is really nice and perfect for the setting. The graphics, fighting scenes, and effects are exciting. Even the character designs are clean and detailed. The soundtracks also reminds of desserts which is perfect for the Arabian Nights theme.
About the ENJOYMENT
A really enjoyable series I’ve seen in a long time. The setting and theme is quite refreshment for our typical daily animes. The mysterious parts are something to look forward to. That said, it’s not particularly “that” exciting. It’s lacking a certain edge that can separate it from the others. The Arabian Night theme is sure a huge plus but still. Some of the important elements of the series are already the usual things like battle between bad and good, wars of different countries, a mysterious organization, and a protagonist who just appeared. I believe it is alright to use the typical storyline over and over again but you still have to change something to separate it from the usual. Nevertheless, it is definitely still interesting and exciting. And I am sure to wait for the sequel.

The much awaited continuation of the suspense-thriller and twisted story of the collaboration of two of the most successful in the anime industry, CLAMP and Blood Franchise, is finally here!
About the STORY
As expected from Blood Franchise, this project has also “blood” or gore in it. Unfortunately, the story this time is not particularly exciting or interesting which is really sad because we expect at least a proper closure for the series. It’s not as action-packed as before which is to be expected considering the limited time a movie can have compared to an anime series.
About the CHARACTERS
There are more interesting characters compared from the anime
...
adaptation. Saya is no longer the sweet ordinary girl from the anime. She has become cold with less expression befitting the original “Saya” of the franchise. However, she’s still the same “stupid” Saya who’s easily fooled.
About the ANIMATION
Even though it’s not as action-packed, the animation is still great. However, I don’t believe its great enough for a movie. And the character designs are also as great as before as expected from CLAMP.
About the ENJOYMENT
Sequels are always expected to lived up to the previous one even more if it will be an ending for the entire thing but sadly, this sequel for a movie is boring. The anime has twisted yet so exciting psychological storyline, action-packed, irritating or impressive characters, and amazing animation. I strongly believe this continuation of the anime is not worth the wait.

About the STORY
Attention-grabber from the moment it starts. Cool and exciting appearances and fight scenes right off the bat. Interesting concept for the plot. However, it may not be as surprising if you have seen so many animes with the same storyline. Every episode needs to be watched carefully in order to know and understand the mystery plot of the story.
About the CHARACTERS
For a 13-episode long series, there’s a huge lists of characters to choose from. Almost all of them are interesting and would leave such impression which is very rare nowadays with the long lists of animes released every season. And besides the
...
interesting part, there are so many cool characters that any shounen viewers would enjoy.
About the ANIMATION and SOUNDS
The animation is definitely one of the best of 2012 with its unique and intensifying graphics and effects. The fight scenes are one of the most exciting out there. That being said, it still lacks in the details department. If there are more details in the fighting rather than effects alone then it might be able to go on par with some famous resident shounen action series. The amazing animation is even accompanied by cool soundtracks. The character designs are very noticeable with its distinctive and gorgeous layouts. Another thing which makes the series a huge “project” is the gathering of almost all the most famous and multi-awarded seiyuus.
About the ENJOYMENT
Non-stop excitement and enjoyment for the plot but the flow of the story is not particularly new. And the action part has so much potential if only there are more details with the fight scenes. But still, it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed anime this much.
