Guts and Jeremy are both anti-hero protagonists who suffered through severe physical and psychological trauma since childhood. Their trauma fester into a blood-thirsty desire for revenge, and they struggle throughout their respective series as they attempt to survive in a world that has broken their trust. Despite their inky-black darkness and severe anti-social behaviors, they attract people to them like a candle to moths. Berserk is set in a land inspired by Europe in the Middle Ages and Zankoku na Kami ga Shihai suru is literally set in Europe.

Dragon Ball Super

Both center around a team of powerful fighters who have outer space origins, who's duty it is to defend Earth from enemies from outer space, and who also have to keep their identities a secret. Colorful characters, unlikely heroes, comedy, mystery of main character's origin (in Dragon Ball Super's case, the mystery was solved in prequels), talking animals, time travel, new enemies every arc, friendship & family, character transformations - Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon have more things in common that one might expect. Goku and Usagi are both simple minded, childlike protagonists with hearts of gold that attracts others to them. Crystal and Super are also both reboots of popular anime from the 90s and they're both legends in the shojo and shonen genre respectively.

Katekyou Hitman Reborn!

There's the obvious similarity everyone and their mom has pointed out: Both of these series feature babies who are mentors to the protagonists. Menma and Reborn are both older than they actually appear to be and have a bullying-out-of-love relationship with the protagonists of their respective series. But the similarities between YYH and KHR doesn't just stop there. It's a bit hackneyed to say, but both series give off a similar feel. The sense of camaraderie between the protagonists and their bros give off the same vibe. And the way they all get stronger together, as a team, while each dealing with their own demons at times, is the same as well. I'm just saying that if you've liked one, you probably won't hate the other.

Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet

The heroines are quite similar. Both are rendered homeless due to an unfortunate event and subsequently end up working as a live-in maid at the hero's house. They're independent and strive to not be a burden to others, even if they desperately need help. The heroine feels lonely without a family and the hero recognizes that loneliness and, despite initially being a cold person, yearns to fill her loneliness just as she warms his heart. Both stories are about how the MCs gradually become a family, change each other's lives, and fall in love with each other while living together.

Zankoku na Kami ga Shihai suru

At first glance, you may wonder what a romance shojo manga like "Mars" has to do with "A Cruel God Reigns." "Mars" will surprise you with how well it delves into issues like sexual abuse and death, considering that it is a shojo manga. The characters are similar in the sense that they have twisted, murderous, dark sides to their psyches as a result of the messed up ish that's happened to them. The dead haunt the living, the living grasps at straws trying to discover what kind of people the dead really were. Hating oneself, blaming oneself for murder. Becoming a murderer. Suicidal, dependent mothers. Though "A Cruel God Reigns" is much darker and more graphic than "Mars" by far.

Mairunovich

The main characters in both of these series have an unruly/plain appearance until a cross-dresser (transvestite in Mairunovich) gives them a makeover. A handsome guy (in Kuragehime, a handsome guy who just likes to dress up as a woman sometimes) assumes a "guardian" role over the MC as she fumbles through love with other people, although it's clear that the MC is meant to be with him in the end. Both series feature cross-dressers, puts an emphasis on the significance of caring about one's appearance, and takes you inside Japan's fashion world (to a much lesser extent in Mairunovich). Mairunovich is more of a high school rom-com that is ALL about romance, while Kuragehime is a josei manga that delves into topics other than romance and properly fleshes out its characters.

Hotarubi no Mori e

-Gin of Hotarubi no Mori e and the entire Sohma family in Fruits Basket have the same curse that doesn't allow them to be hugged by humans. -The heroines are both clumsy, silly, stronger than they appear, and strive to not be a burden to anyone. (Hotaru and Tohru also look almost identical as children, and as teenagers Hotaru looks just like Tohru but with shorter hair. Even their names sound similar.) They also both struggle with the curse of their loved ones. -Both anime incorporate Japanese folklore, legends, and other spiritual elements. -Gin is a lot like Yuuki, personality-wise and appearance-wise. -Both anime are tearjerkers.

Kidou Senshi Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans
add

Protagonist and deuteragonist are mistreated and abused orphans who have a strong bond and consider each other brothers. Simon and Kamina's dependence, unconditional love, and blind-faith on one another mirrors that of Orga and Mikazuki's. Together, they create an organization and treat the members of their organization as their family. Members of the organization are dedicated and loyal to their organization and what they stand for, and care deeply for one another. If you like the sense of brotherhood in one series, you'll like it in the other. Both series deals with systematic oppression on people of lower class and their desire to overturn the inequality. Basically, they're both anime about sworn brothers who fight for independence with their makeshift family of other brothers in mechs.
