How uniqueness can be so easily turned in the same generic stuff you always see.
To be honest, I really enjoyed Sousou no Frieren and the MC as well, it promised me a very interesting and different pov on a fantasy anime, hell, maybe even in a fantasy fiction. And it started like that, you follow the life of an elven member of the world saving party, after they saved it. Huge points for that, than they follow it by showing us how they whole journey was like days to her, because she's pretty much imortal, which contributes to her stoicism, which for once is shown ... |
