Do you like your typical anime high school setting? Do you also happen to enjoy comedy? One last thing, do you, by any chance, enjoy funny, nonchalant, super-intelligent, cool main characters? Well, I've got what you're looking for. Both these shows are hilarious, and the main characters sell the poker face gesture n the most humorous of events. If you think you've seen it all, well, you haven't. You'll find the most outlandish and eccentric actions humanly possible yet performed in the most unpredictable way imaginable. If you wanna laugh, but I mean really laugh your ass off, trust me--watch them!

If you enjoyed the eerie elements of Akira, then you are for sure going to enjoy Evangelion, especially End of Eva. Both these movies (or the Eva series) follow supernatural events that shape the daily lives of the protagonists. These otherworldly events force the government to take action, which results in lots of explosions and destruction. However, military action is all futile when you are up against an uncontrollable, omnipotent deity.

In essence, both shows face a similar conflict--the female protagonist falls ill and becomes an extravert so that she can spend each day with excitement. She meets the male protagonist, who is an introvert, and her emotional influence leaves a mark on him permanently. Both stories have stellar character development and a heartwrenching, bittersweet ending. If you don't like piano or classical music, then Pancreas is for you and vise versa. I, however, recommend that you see both.
