Well I am watching the show a long while after it has been aired, yet I feel compelled to write a review.
After watching this show twice through, I can safely say that this show is criminally underwatched! The synopsis does a pretty good job of describing what it is and I must say that the show was excellently executed.
Story/ Characters:
With these kind of shows the story is centered around the characters and their emotions, their daily struggles of being different from society's expectations and them trying to fit in in an unknown world. It took only the 1st episode to get me hooked and

the way the characters developed throughout the show was pretty awesome. The whole show felt really realistic and the way the other characters treat the protagonists is usually what would happen in real life. I only wish that the side characters had been developed a bit more (as done in the manga) but as it is it is pretty good.(9/10)
Art/Music:
The music was good enough and the op and the ed were fabulous and got me hooked. The art was great too, although I tend not to look at art while reviewing stuff, I should say that the animation was fluid.(8.5/10)
(Overall: 9.5)
I should point it out that after watching this my respect towards the LGBT community was increased. Not ever watched something which really relays towards that community I was deeply attached. I am a straight man and I must note on how this anime touches such a sensitive subject and yet succeeds on keeping me thoughtfully invested throughout. If anyone wants to see anime like this I am really sorry to say that there are none and I definitely recommend the manga.
