Kaguya-Sama has always been known for its comedy. Now, we've got a large share of the romance we were all waiting so very long for, and so, we can truly call it a "romantic comedy".
"The first kiss that never ends" takes place after the events of the Cultural Festival, and as such, it is the story of the their journey towards truly understanding each other and admitting their feelings. They both assumed that they would be a couple after the Cultural Festival, but their relationship remains ambiguous due to a lack of communication. With the winter fast approaching, they both become overly conscious of their
...
feelings and try to tell the other what they so desperately want to, without actually telling him/her.
We have Shirogane who wants to be perfect versus Kaguya who pursues the imperfect. Through internal monologues and plain stupidity, we see how the relationship between these two develops and how they finally come to terms with each other with regards to their position as lovers (this, of course, all coming after comical scenes of bickering and chases).
Having said this, the movie is not devoid of any of the comedy we know and love Kaguya-Sama for, so it really is an enjoyable film. If you've come this far with the Kaguya-Sama storyline, you will not be disappointed.
All in all, if you enjoyed the first three seasons, and want to see a notable progression in Miyuki and Kaguya's relationship, then I'm sure you'll enjoy every scene from this movie. I can't wait for season 4!

This anime's experienced pretty solid reviews, and they're well deserved. Though possibly not catering to everyone, it focuses on action over story, though the story that exists is still sufficient and adds adequate meaning, albeit there’s room for improvement. So why the 9, you ask? The characterisation which is presented is extremely strong for the main characters, and they were well developed over the course of the 13 episodes.
The story revolves around 17-year-old Chisato Nishikigi, an extremely energetic yet highly skilled “Lycoris”, a group of assassins working for the Direct Attack, aka DA, an intelligence organisation. She is a mischievous yet determined girl who meets
...
Takina Inoue, a more serious and sterner figure. Though the two have very different approaches regarding their work as assassins, they soon turn into an unstoppable duo, who while carrying out their job as Lycoris’, find out more about the darker side of their colleagues, as they reveal truths about they employers, teachers, and, for Chisato, her saviour.
The anime, as already discussed, involves a lot of action, and these scenes were a nice change from a lot of the other story-heavy animes released this year. The scenes are beautifully animated, and really bring out the “superhuman” skills that Chisato possesses. These are not over-the-top like in other animes, and they present Chisato as a well-rounded heroine.
It would be worth giving Lycoris Recoil a go, and finding out if style of storytelling suites you, as if it does, they I assure you that you will not be disappointed.
All in all, a solid anime, I'd definitely recommend it, and I'm looking forward to the next season.

Writing this review over a year and a half after I completed reading the Alicization Light Novels, and watching the Anime, brings a flood of nostalgia and memories.
Sword Art Online Alicization was an extremely emotional arc, and it was, honestly, one of the best arcs in the series. Reki Kawahara's writing has come a long, long way since Volume 1, and although the anime does skip/hastily show some scenes, the anime has also shown some great improvements.
Firstly, the first episode of the season was a real hit. It was a great way to start the season, and it leaves viewers (And readers, since
...
the LNs also started the same way!) wanting to watch it until the end. And it wasn't just the first episode. Every single episode was done to an extremely high standard, and, in my opinion, at no point throughout the season did I think they were prolonging scenes unnecessarily.
The emotional aspect of the season was a 10/10. You would feel a sense of nostalgia from the start of the very first episode to the end of the very last. Even the songs, and soundtrack were extremely emotional. ADAMAS, Resister, Forget-Me-Not, and Niji No Kanata Ni, by LiSA, ASCA, and ReoNa respectively had a deep layer of meaning to them. All the characters, including the side characters, have a huge role to play, and the anime creates a strong emotional bond every single one of them.
One thing to highlight is that Asuna does not have a lot of screen time, but the next half of Alicization ( LN Volumes 15-18, and SAO: Alicization War of Underworld in the Anime), will have us see a lot more of her.
Another thing you may want to know is that the show is not suitable for anyone under the age of, in my opinion, 16. You may even push the age rating up to 18, in certain situations. There are quite a few scenes of sexual nature, and towards the end of the season, in the last few episodes, the antagonist is not clothed.
A real well done to Reki Kawahara, and A1-Pictures.
